The press kit of the film very proudly proclaims that the movie is “seriously dangerous for men” — but after being tortured by this two-and-a-half-hour disaster one would have hoped the disclaimer had actually read “seriously dangerous for everyone”.

Plagued with simplistic platitudes and wacky pastiche, Bachke… boasts of trite dialogue and smut. One has come to expect this from Mallika Sherawat, who uses every given opportunity to flash her assets (if you can call them that), but why Rekha chose to sign this film is a wonder.

She’s riddled with bad dialogue, terrible cakey makeup and tawdry styling.

Through the years Rekha has managed to create an aura around her, she’s one of the industry’s foremost divas, and yet she single-handedly gave up all of that for this film.

Rawal and Shah are misplaced and just come off lampooning themselves, while one really wishes Karan Khanna had chosen a better director to launch him. At least he wouldn’t have looked so awkward.

This facile attempt at a movie has no good reason to head to the theatres —even Sherewat’s attention seeking, hot-body has been exhibited all over the place lately. Bachke…is far too puerile even for the most juvenile amongst us and really leaves you grappling for sanity.
