Yeh duniya bahut matlabi hai peter. Review on Baaghi

Baaghi was released in 2000, it a total copy of the bollywood movie called a breonx tale which starred robert deniro as a bus driver who tried to stop his son for getting into a gang. Baaghi's story is much like of it but a just a little bit of a change.

The movie stars sanjay dutt, aditya pancholi,manisha koirala,inderkumar and tina.

The movies story is like this proffesor vidyashankar pandey (shivaji satam) gets employed as lecterer in a college and relocates to bombay. He has a family as well consisiting of himself, his wife and a young son named surya.

They movie to a chawl in southern bombay, vidyashankar notices that the area and the community is controlled by a gangster name raja (sanjaydutt), but raja works for vikram (aditya pancholi) who is the biggest don of the city and best friend with raja. The first day vidyashankar moves into the chawl, raja sends him flowers, but vidya shankar refuses and calls him names.

Vidyashankar's son surya who is impressed by raja, and treats him like a hero, because once he seen raja fighting with 5 or 6 people and end up winning the fight and raja has a good personality. Once surya saves raja's life by telling that someone is coming to kill him, when raja kills the guy surya is taken to the police and made a witness, but surya refuses to tell them that raja has killer.

Raja takes a liking to surya and treats him like a close friend. Then years go by surya has all grown ( inderkumar) and despite his parents objection still hangs around with raja and his men. Surya falls in love with a girl in his college, but decides to marry, but there is one problem the girl is a sister of vikram the man who controls mumbai underworld. Vikram is ready to go kill surya, but raja interferes and tells him that surya will no longer hang around his sister.

Raja tries make surya understand, but surya runs away with vikram's sister, now they are life is in danger only raja could save them.

The film mainly shows inderkumar not sanjay dutt, because it's a love story the film needed a better director, and better actor then inder kumar, why would the director cast inder kumar in the lead anyways, because has never had success with his movies anyways for example some of his old movies like masoom, ghoonghat flooped very badly. This movie came out in the year 2000, The movie was still better then some movies that came out in 2000, like mela,krodh, hum tu mohabbat karega,tarkieb,bulandi.

The music by sajid wajid is pretty, good my favorite was sapne mein kudi oh aundi hai sung by abhijeet, was pretty famous, then chaha tha tujhe, tumhi ko chahata hai dil, and the cabaret song called ek kaabhi are pretty good as well.

Performance wise: manisha koirala is good as usual, though she only appears in sanjaydutt's flashbacks she does her part well. INderkumar what to say about him, he weas pretty good in the movie tumko bhool na payenge playing in the salman movies, but in this one just watch his dialogue delivery, I laughed until the end, he's better off in the t.v. serials where nobody looks at acting. Aditya pancholi gives a good performance, have always liked aditya pancholi, he was the best in the movies like aatish and saathi.

Sanjay dutt as raja is great as usual, wearing suits in the whole movie, his entrance is made powerfull when he kills one of the guys from his gang and tells him yeh zindagi bahut kamini hai peter jahan koi kisi ki parwah nahin karta jaise tune nahin ki thi. One other scene I liked was when these bikers come into his bar and start breaking things, he locks down the bar and tells them aab bahar jaake dikhao. Dutt is always great no matter what movies you give his performances are always high of what you expect.

Only watch this movie if you a die hard sanjay dutt fan like me. he rules
