I  joined Corporate in March 2016 then according to the procedure they opened my salary account in Axis Bank. Within a week I got all the necessary stuff like Cheque Book Inernet Banking ID and password through courier service. till that day every thing is good. I was very much happy from their welcome kit delivery service. I was receiving all my salary in this account from Month of April to November.

Due to some issue, I left that company and started working with another Company. In this Corporate where I'm working, they had a tie-up with ICICI Bank so they opened my Salary account with ICICI Bank I tried to take my Axis account on the place of Axis but according to their policies I cannot take Axis account so I continued with ICICI bank. So I thought that I need to close my Axis account so I called their customer service to inquire about the procedure of account closer.

They provided the info regarding account closer. They told me to visit any of nearest branch and fill the account closer form attach one id proof with that and your account will be closed in 48 working hour.

So, I went their branch and filled the form and submitted. I asked them again that how many days it will take to close my account they said 48 working hour.  I was satisfied that my account will be closed in 48 working hour.

3 months after Submitting the account closer form:

I was checking my emails usually I checked it on daily basis but after submitting the form I didn't get any mail in that three months and that day I got one email from the Axis bank written like that:

Dear Customer,

Your account is converted into the savings account because you didn't receive any salary in your account from last 3 month.

After reading this I was like what the F*k is going on.

I submitted my document 3 month before and they even didn't even notify me that your account is not closed till now and when it converted into the saving account then they are notifying me.

On the same day when I got that email I called their customer service and asked what is this then they give me one more shock that my account is debited by consolidated charge two times and on that charge service charge is also applied that customer representative said that sir now you have to pay that charge and visit branch and fill the account closed form then only my account will close. Now, why should I pay the charge to close that account?

They are saying me to credit your account then they will close my account.

They are not doing their work properly and all burden goes on the customer.

Now, I left that account as it is whether they close that account or remains open I don't care I'm not going to pay any single penny to them.
