A few days ago I happened to visit this restaurant during Durga Puja festivities in Kolkata. After pandal hopping, we decided to dine out at this restaurant. The nearby pandals are Ballygunge Cultural Association and Jodhpur Park. We had booked our tables over phone a couple of hours before, because during Puja time it's very hard to get an empty one.
We were a group of friends. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Butter naan, Chicken Tikka Masala and Reshmi Butter Masala. The food were cooked quite well and hygenic. The quantity of the biryani was appropriate enough for a single person. The food were delicious and filled our appetite. The restaurant was very crowded but still the staff provided prompt service.
We didn't have to wait for long. The ambience is soothing with light music being played and air-conditioning was working well. Lastly, we ordered firni as dessert and soft drinks. No matter, in whichever Aminia outlet you are firni is a must. Just try it once.
Overall, it's a good restaurant where you can relax and refill your fuel. We continued our pandal hopping again.
Reservations are not necessary all the time, just during festivities it's better to book a table well before else you could have to wait for more than an hour.
