I have 4 Airtel DTH connections, worked well for 5 months, everything as promised.  The problem began after 4-5 months when they disconnected my 4 TVs on 28th rather on 31st.  They made the cycle 28 days on their own(frustrating), but I paid the bill.  Next month they disconnected the 4 TVs on 27th, (more frustrating), and now this month they are giving me the cycle for 26 days(insanely frustrating).


So this is how they do the tricks.  Another trick, customer care girl said we give only 28-days cycle which was not told by anyone, everyone said it is a 30-day cycle.  Talked to the Supervisor and he said he will give the solution in 24 hours(I will write that too if I get some good response).  Another trick,  they took 2200 for each set-top box and now they are saying if you disconnect they will take the set-top box and no refund will be made, this is "baadmashi" as you can see.


Another trick, they disconnect TV on their free will on any date and you cannot see the TV, but they have a late fee of Rs 15 or something for each, approx 60 Rs.  So you pay late fees, plus recharge amount, plus u cannot see the TV(wow, sword on the customer, very smart).  The prices have been increased too, one side govt. wants set-top boxes, another side they have increased the prices.  What should a customer do?  If my children did not want to see the TV, I would have disconnected all.


I am happy without the TV, enjoyed the walks in the park.  Another trick, they said you can disconnect your TV if you go somewhere, I was very happy, but then when I asked them to disconnect one of my connections for 2 months they said you have to pay Rs 100 for that and Rs 100 again to reconnect and some other charges, so this feature is also a trick.  Local cable operators are better if they can give you good service.  Aam Admi always at the loss whether its cable or anything else.  I will change my ratings when I get the response tomorrow and let you know what happened.


I forgot to mention one more trick, they said, the 1-month pack which they give free is not free. It's like this: They give one month pack free and when disconnect Airtel DTH they take back set-top boxes and tell you that 1 month was not free, the money they took was for that 1 month. So they were making fools of us when they said they give 1 month free. Actually, they charged that an initial payment and set-top boxes we have to return. They almost took 10000 rs for Dish and 4 set-top boxes and now they are saying it was for the package which they said was free but actually was not free.


Making completely fool of customers, Our government has no policy to protect consumers like developed countries have where they just ban the operator or any company who tries to be over smart.
