Airbnb does not support the guest when something goes wrong. They actually tried to gaslight me into submission. The hosts room had bed bugs that bit us. I told the host and he quickly moved us to another room before I could take any pictures. I did have pictures of the bites taken later that day. Airbnb said they wanted pictures of the bug that bit us. Are you kidding me? They bite when your sleeping and are hidden away in the light. Anyway the host made up stories like there was a new type of mosquito in the area and that's what bit me. We left for a hotel and the bites continued. Great it's in our luggage now. It absolutely ruined the last week of our holiday and now have to deal with maybe bringing home these nasty critters in our luggage. Airbnb only wants your money and will fight with you instead of trying to work through an issue. Hotels cost no more than Airbnb's but offer safe professional service and take care of pest management issues. I will NEVER use Airbnb again and I strongly advise others to use a different platform like VERBO or booking.com. Airbnb is terrible.
Update: the$21 refund they promised me they have now denied for no given reason. When I inquired about it they ended the claim and cut me off communication. What un unethical company. How do they ever manage to stay in business. I hope people read BBB, Sitejabber, Trustpilot and Consumer Affairs reviews before giving them their money. Please don't risk your vacation to armature accommodations.
