As a result of the COVID-19 situation, my business has gone down and I even had to close my studio and since then I'm trying to WORK FROM HOME and the internet has been a very big problem.

Since our home is kind of covered with trees and other buildings, the network reception is very weak and hence I wanted to get a broadband connection and accordingly I subscribed for ACT FIBERNET since there was no other good option available at my area.

But now I think I have made a mistake because this ACT company looks like a fraudulent company.

I have subscribed to them 2 times. I will explain it.

During the lockdown, I went to their website and tried to subscribe, and accordingly, I received a sales call and they asked me to pay around 3800rs and told me that the installation will be done in 2days at the maximum.

And I did the payment online and I was waiting for the installation to happen.

I had to wait for 1 week and then I called customer care. this is when I got to know how bad this stupid company is you have to wait for around 15min every single time you call customer care and they assume that you don't have any better work to do. And once you are connected with the customer care people, they just listen to everything you say and tell that they have raised a ticket and the problem will be resolved within 24 hours, but the fact is nobody even bothers to call or check back, and even if they do call it's all a big drama.

The technician calls and he asks for the Landmark of the address and tells that he will be coming in 10min, but never. He doesn't come. it's all a big drama. I'm telling this coz they have done this same thing to me more than 10times! Every time I call customer care this is what happens.

Finally, after 1month the company sent somebody to do the installation. this technician comes to the house and tells me that he has to set up a server box near the house to do the installation and accordingly he drills a hole on the wall outside and also on the window to let in the wire. Suddenly after he is done drilling he just packs up and tells me that the SERVER IS FULL (a big drama again)

And he tells me that the connection is not possible and told me that I will have to wait for another 2 or 3 months, coz setting up a new server requires 2 to 3 months and he told me to contact customer care to have a REFUND, and again I had to call customer care. again u had to wait for 15min to talk to them, and after calling them 2 or 3 times the REFUND was initiated and I got it after 15 days around.

So it was almost after 2 months from the date of payment that I had got the REFUND. they asked me to pay then and there and made me wait for 2 months without providing any service. all they did was give me tension and disturbed my peace of mind!

This is not over yet.

After this, I had no option but to SUBSCRIBE for BSNL. I thought I will give it a try since there was no other option available at my location.

But, the BSNL upload speed is very low and doesn't help when you are trying to have Online meetings on ZOOM or GOOGLE MEET. so BSNL didn't serve the purpose.

I somehow had to manage with my MOBILE DATA and it was pretty much frustrating.

So I check back after 3 months with ACT FIBERNET! (With a hope that they provide me the connection this time)

As usual, I tried to get the connection by applying online and immediately I get calls from salespeople, and I explain to them about what had happened earlier and I tell them to cross-check that they can provide the connection. they tell me not to worry and assures me that the connection will be done, and ask me to do the payment of 4991rs.

I did the payment! This was my last hope to get a broadband connection.

But, to my astonishment, something that had happened to me the first time started happening again.

They told me that the connection will be done within 7 working days since they have to set up a FIBER switch near my home. I was waiting with patience, but nobody even bothers to call you back and I form you about the status, and I had to face the same frustrating CUSTOMER CARE calling which requires you to leave every work you have and wait for around 15min just for the person at the other end to pick up!

And they told me the same thing, that they have raised a ticket and I will get a call from the technician within 24hours, but nobody calls! So after calling customer care 4 to 5 times and after shouting at the customer care people, some technician called me and told me that he is coming for Installation and asked me for the landmark to my address. But he never came! He didn't even bother to call me back! So again I had to call customer care. again all the drama happened, and after this again a new technician called me and asked me for landmark ti my address, and after 2min he just calls me back to say that SERVER IS FULL and hence the connection will not be possible. but he didn't even visit my place! He asks for landmark and right after 2 min he just calls back and tells me that the connection is not possible!

And he tells me to get a refund!

Please try to imagine the amount of FRUSTRATION and STRESS that I have experienced dealing with a FRAUDULENT COMPANY called ACT FIBERNET.

They still have my 4991rs with them!

It's like they just take your money! That's it! they are not even bothered to provide the service! And pls imagine what the customers have to face, coz just to call the customer care you have to wait around 15min. Don't you have any better work to do?

And who will compensate me for all the losses that have happened due to this, who will compensate for the mental stress?

Please help!
