How to reach
By Air: Nearest airport: Trivandrum International Airport. There are Direct flights from the Middle East, Singapore, Maldives, Sri Lanka as well as seasonal charter flights to Europe. It is linked with many major cities in India by domestic flights.
By Rail: Nearest railway station: Trivandrum Central railway station. is a major Indian railway station and is very well connected and serviced by rail to all major cities in India.
By Road: Thiruvananthapuram is well connected to other cities like Kochi (230 km), Kozhikode (420 km),Madurai (230 Km), Chennai (780 km), Bangalore(791 km), Coimbatore(400 km) by road. Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) operates 6 class of bus services, connecting to southern Tamil-Nadu cities/town as well as all other parts of Kerala.

What to see?

Sree Anantha Padmanabha Temple.
key icon of the city.
One of the most oldest temples of India, its a major Vishnu temple in the country.
The temple itself has 1000's of stories to tell with immaculate sculptures and mandaps.
The entire Thiruvanathapuram city was built around this temple.
Its an architectural wonder and was nominated from India into last round of 7 Wonders of World.
East Fort - An old fort around Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple.
The illumination of East Fort Gate in evenings, is a major attraction.
Ramanayar Palace museum - Has a good collection of many antique items from the Travancore era Kings.
Kuthiramallikka Palace - Also known as Puthen Palace, this was constructed by famous musician King- Swati Thirunal.
The palace features several relics and antiques belonging to Maharaja Swati Thirunal.
The key feature is its grand facade designed in form of horses, hence the name struck.
The Annual Swati Thirunal Music festival is held in the Palace Lawns.
The Kerala Government Secretariat - The old Legislature Assembly Hall inside the complex (Asia's first native legislature assembly)is a good museum with a detailed gallery that depicts the history of Travancore Legislature Assembly.
