Don't mistake the heading as ''friend of TOI''! This is just an acronym for ''Yet another review of TOI''. Can anyone resist expressing comments on one of Mumbai's oldest institutions? While browsing through the reviews of my friends, I never knew that the Grand old lady could make so many fu...Read More

It used to be the leading newspaper sometime back but now since the globolisation they are finding it hard to compete with the likes of Indian Express and Asian Age, the latter being the most sought after daily in the metros. I totally agree with Amrita's viewpoint. TOI is more of mouthpiece of a select group of highly influencial people than reflects people's opinion. You find Ram Vilas Paswan and Miss India looking at Indiatimes.com on front pages of Delhi Times on consecutive days in TOI. What...Read More

This is a paper for everyone-we can say a family newspaper. it has something for everyone.it is not only full of news like hindu- which becomes boring and monotonous , nor is it too frilly like some of the others. it has a balanced content with just the right look to attract ppl. theref...Read More

I agree with amrita's and sadsack's review about TOI and personally feel the same. Shutupmukul's review made me rethink all about what TOI was, is and the path it is following to sustain its position. I think that shutupmukul is a jounalist himself coz the stand taken by his review is depicti...Read More

Yeah believe me Amrita, your reviews always sound like a war cry of a fundamentalist politician( except that refrigdegarator one). You're not here to win an election or followers so you can reduce the use of blatant adjectives. On ur review you contradict yourself many times and when you do that...Read More

I cannot resist writing this review. I wanted to write on Times Of India the very first day I became a member here...somehow it slipped my mind. There is the burning Kashmir issue, with impending talks between Ind and Pak. Ayodhya debate is creating a furore in the parliament. Women's reservation bill is back on the agenda. Granted it's a great newspaper, and I've been reading it for years. But lately they have become too big for their boots (oh, the common reader doesn't get affected much, except for the fact that some news items which are of relevance to them may get blanked out). Just an example - check with ...Read More

Times of india

The newspaper uses easy language for news reading purposes. The newspaper is also very cheap and doesn't cost more than 120/-. They have a branch in Indore as well so we get the local news as well. The quality of paper being used is not bad when compared to the price it is being sold out.
