Chandel Traveller Guide

How to reach
By Air: The best option for those who are arriving by air, is the Tulihal Airport that is present outside the city of Imphal. One can travel to the airport from many parts of the country and there are flights from smaller cities as well. Frequent flights are available from cities such as Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore. It is also connected to places such as Silchar.
By Rail: Manipur doesn’t have a railhead. The nearest railway station to Chandel is in Dimapur, Nagaland. Dimapur is located 215 kilometres from Chandel. After reaching Dimapur, you will get taxis and state transport buses to take you to Chandel. Dimapur is connected to all major stations in the country via Guwahati.
By Road: The National Highway 39 passes through the Chandel district unto Moreh. Regular bus services and private taxis connect the district to the other parts of the state and country. The State Highway 10 takes a diversion from NH 39 at Pallel and reaches the district headquarters of Chandel.
