Famous For

Temples, Scenic beauty and tranquil environment

1. Carry a pair of walking shoes.
2. Sometimes, it gets really windy and wet in Almora, so you should be prepared with the proper clothing to beat the cold.
3. Never be too friendly with wild animals that are just strolling around and especially the monkeys. Do not offer them food or anything for that matter. Also, don’t try to touch them or scare them off. Live and let live.
4. Do trekking in groups.
5. Haggle over prices for everything that you buy from the place. That also applies to the fares quoted by the local transport people.
