If one thinks about it, there has always historically been too much importance given to love in our films. Even songs are full of such themes. But in reality is India a place, where those things are happening more? Personally, I've not seen that till date, most people have a mindset here which is not conducive to that. They are just going through the motions and living their lives.

Even the stats say that. Not even 10% of the marriages that happen here have much to do with love based relationships. So, I don't understand when western countries where most relationships are based on love also don't emphasize on that too much in the their films, which include so many topics inclusive those of relationships of love, why do we like to bask in the imaginary warmth of such impossible possibilities? Is it to highlight how obsessed we are with a remote possibility which doesn't have a realistic chance of occurring in our lives?

Personally, I feel we would be much better off focusing on other topics which have more to do with our realistic day to day life. Those who are fortunate enough to experience actual love can do the obsessing about "love". But having said that, in the last 10 years or so, I have seen a shift in that regard. I just wanted to highlight that the shift should be more prominent in our film industry.
