Does regret stays forever?

It was 9pm when I had a discussion with one of my close friend. We almost talked about everything like we usually do. All of sudden, we started talking about what does it really mean to regret about something in life? Can we have a vigilant discussion on this topic? Well, I believe yeah we can have. There are times when we come across something that hurts us to the core. There are times when it’s hard to regain strength and move ahead. There are times when we start fighting with ourselves and there’s nobody to encourage or discourage you. Those who are close to you start thinking either you have gone mad or you’re sooner being turned into one. Are there any implacable matters in real life? Are there things which have smothered and profaned you?

Lucidly, we learn from our own mistakes. I cannot comment on whether we are the master of our own destiny or is it someone else who is leading us? After writing all this bullshit, I’m not still not able to figure out why do we regret about things in our life? It could be anything from your family relations to job loss. Why can’t we accept the things as they are meant to be? My friend was highly confident that people do regret about things in life. Her mother had regrets about few things which were almost 30 to 35 years old. Her dad regretted about his decisions of selling his old house for making the future of his children.

A reminder of past events doesn’t let you to live peacefully. I won’t say that I count myself among those who have never regretted about anything in life. I did have my share also but with passage of time I’ve accepted the things with courage and sensibility. Do we really regret about something or is it just a myth? Where that gleeful feeling does go when you start feeling depressed? It’s an interminable discussion and without any experience it’s difficult to follow the right path.

Are we trapped somewhere? Are we fed up by following the humdrum routine? Sometimes it feels like we’re seized and at another time we want to set ourselves free. I’m gagging to know your opinion about whatever I have written above. Till how long we’re going to regret and does it sort out our problems? Will time erase the hurtful memories or we will take our own route to leave them behind? I might have written something zany to ponder and retrospect, but I’m eager to know more about it. I love exploring things and I hope you’ll help me in discovering it too.
