Present (2040):

---------------------

In my black jacket and my sun glasses on, I stood here. There is this music that comes through the vein to my head and I shuffled my ipod to entertain me. It’s cold and I like this place. It’s like a flashback. I am 58 years old. And why did I even come back to this place where memories where buried and fairy tales took birth? I don’t know. There are no answers for some questions in life. Being quite lucky to live in 2040, I wished if my friends were here… I miss them… We had lots of fun here… We played games, we fought, and we were lively… This place is one of the Hill stations in India. And I graduated from this place… These branches could recognize me… This flora could smell me… I had been here before… Memories are the asset and when they take me back to the beginning of another millennium, 2000… I flew along with it…

Welcome to my past (2002 – 2005):

------------------------------------------------

We were 5 of us. This is a small college; we never used to hide from anybody since all of us knew each other. The most attractive part was our hostel. It was a Spanish villa and 5 of us used to stay in one room. That’s how it works!! I remember all of us playing cricket and walking all the way up to our room to take a nap. Oh how do I forget when I got my mobile first and found out there was no proper coverage on that island? It was fun and when the rest of them got the mobile, our scientist (one of my friends) found out a rock where we get coverage for making phone calls. So then it was taking turns to use mobile phones since our scientist could discover only one point (rock) for coverage. When the clock strikes 7:00 p.m, all of us used to run down the hill where our mess was situated. We used to wait for our turn and at times I reminisce where my friends used to feed me when I was sick. I used to get caught by the fleeting glimpse quite often. How I wish if I could get those snaps however technology has its own limits as well. They all have gone… The only memory which remains is none other than me. The funniest part is walking all the way to the town and our friendship was such deeper that we even forgot we used to walk 12 kms. How could I forget my friends? This girl who used to like me and where did she disappear? Is she alive?

(Back to the Present) 2040:

--------------------------------------

I am 58 years old. I think I still have a long way to go… I believe I am still young….

Riding on this Enfield like a young lad, I disappear from this place… But these memories will always stay forever... It’s drizzling… The same old way…
