Phobia from injection (Very very funny)

By: Dinzaach82 Posted Jan 29, 2010 General 1211 Views

We the family of five have deep relation with hospitals and thus have many of our family friends as Doctors. The incident that I am going to share with you is nostalgic and extremely funny.

Normally, my younger sister is the victim of food poisoning or stomach ache. I don’t remember a year when she had not visited the family doctor. So being the elder brother I had accompanied her most of the times to the nearby doc. Even today I take to the nearby hospital if need be.

This incident dates back around 15 years and that time it was Fever. Dad was very much sure that she should to go for an injection. He instructed me to take her to our family doc and have her one shot of injection and take her back. The dispensary was just 2-3 minutes walking from our home in Kolhapur. Sis was very weak and was not even strong enough to walk that trifle distance. Somehow I managed her to be there. We both were waiting for our turn and during that period sis insisted to have tablets/syrups instead of an INJECTION. By the way she is extremely terrified of injection and even today can’t stand it. Me as her only brother can’t miss this opportunity to make things worse for her. I left nothing to chance to terrify her of the immense pain that she would undergo due a compulsory shot! Just imagine that needle.....cotton with sprit...rubbing on shoulder... AND........aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh. She was terried till the core. By this time she lost any hope of help from my side and when we entered the room she broke out:

"I am well, I just need some tablets to be even more well. TABLETS will do"

Doc: Sit down, I will see to it. What has happened?

Me: Fever

Doc: Let me check. (Puts a thermometer and removes it back. Takes the reading - 102.3) Fever toh hai...dawai khaoge ya Sui lagau?

Sis: (Almost crying) No Sui. Only tablets. Only tablets.

Me: Sir, 102.30 is lot for tablets. Dad ne injection bola hai. Please. Since you know that she never gets better with tabs.

Doc: Beti, fever zyaadah hai. Injection le lo. And he moved to take his set of injection.

Now something happened that me and doc never expected...........

My weak sister ran from the hospital till home....God that was an Olympic run!

Doc and me busted in laughter.

Within two minutes my Dad and sis were back!

This time we made sure that she couldn’t run......... Injection was given and she shouted like hell......... MUMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Even today she kicks me for that cruelty in those childhood days. And I only say that True brothers never miss an opportunity to tease their sisters....and I keep my words even today……hahhaahhahaha
