I am a bit of a beauty product junkie. I started shopping at Lush before they opened stores in the USA and had to order directly from Canada or the UK via mail order. This obsession started back in 1999 and since then I have tried and purchased virtually every product they have made. This inc...Read more

I would agree with yesuthasen, start with the New Testament and focus on Mathew 4, 5 and 6. I love my NIV (New International Version) with the words of Christ written in red. It is the best book ever!

Thank you! In the USA this product is just called Sun Detergent. In Canada it is called Sun and Earth. I found that this detergent works very well for the price. It is made by Huish Corporation, which does a lot of private label for stores and their brand detergents. They make the Walmart detergent ...which gets high ratings by consumer reports as well. The Sun Brand is their home brand for Huish Corporation. If you do a google search for Huish, on their site they list many of the brands of detergents they make for the budget minded consumer ;)Read More

I have purchased this product when I was broke and looking for a cheap alternative to many other washing detergents out there. I have been shopping at Bath and Body Works off and on for about the last 5 years or so. I must admit, I am a bit of a bath product junkie! I have ordered off of their website, and I received quick and prompt shipping from them. However, I prefer to go to the mall and shop in store so that I may...Read more

I used to use Irish Spring exclusively in the 1980s. I used to travel a lot and with many late nights out as I was in my 20s. Irish Spring was an excellent choice for those dreaded morning showers after burning the candle at both ends. The scent would wake me up and help my senses come alive. I ...Read more

I am always searching for the perfect product to do my washing and am a bit of a laundry snob. With that said I believe that Gain does a sufficient job of doing my washing. The true test of a laundry detergent is over a long period of time to see if it continues to get your laundry clean or leav...Read more

Hi, I am curious about how much product you used to do your washing? The reason why I ask, did you fill the entire measuring lid? I have found this sometimes is the case with washing liquids and 'user error' happens. Meaning, the lines inside the cap indicate the amount and unfortunately, most users... will fill the entire cap. If you look on the inside of the cap there will be lines for the size load you are doing. It will only be about 1/2 way up the lid for LARGE size load. I find I can get by with using only 1/2 of that amount and my clothing gets sufficiently clean and rinses out very well. Also, do you have a front loading machine or a top loading machine. This makes a huge difference too. If you use a top loading machine, then do as I do and only use 1/2 the recommended amount for a medium size load. Otherwise, in a front loader you need only about 1 or 2 Tablespoons do wash an entire load of clothing. I know you like Xtra, and that product is extremely watered down. Perhaps you used the same amount of Gain as you do Xtra (as that is the amount you are used to using). I also find that by adding 1/2 cup of vinegar in my rinse cycle of washing, that I am able to get ANY brand to rinse cleanly in my laundry. I admit, I use what is on sale at the grocery store too, but I know that with some brands you need to watch how much product you use. Often times, it is really user error because how many people honestly read the directions on the back of the bottle? I know most people will fill the ENTIRE CAP full of detergent and then be in for a shock when their clothing doesn't rinse cleanly.Read More

I seriously would not hold a company responsible for your allergic reaction. Blame your grandparents and your mother instead! I mean seriously, I have allergies and some products will cause me terrible reactions. Do I hold the company that makes these products responsible? NO! Also, if you have such... a strong reaction it could also be contributed to 'User Error'. When washing powder doesn't rinse out of clothing, it is usually from an overloaded machine or too much washing powder. Instead why not use 1/2 the recommended dose and then using 1/4 to 1/2 cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle to remove all traces of product from your washing. I am not meaning to demonish because I have some brand loyalty to Sun products, as a matter of fact, I use another product all together with satisfactory results. However, I have used Sun in the past and while it is just an OK product, it doesn't deserve horrible reviews based on YOUR allergies.Read More
