It was nearly 7:00 pm when we came out of the temple. But with the clouds having set in, it seemed like 8 or 9 pm. We finished dinner and stayed overnight for Rs.200 a room for the both of us. We returned by Ghatkopar bound ST the next morning. All through the journey till Chakan, we were subjected ...to immensely beautiful scenery and a glimpse of semi-urban and rural Maharashtra. We made it home by 2:00 pm. I have to say that the climb that we felt was nearly impossible to complete, is a regular pathway for many of the locals including women. It’s just the lack of a proper guide, monsoon, fitness and preparation that made this journey so difficult. I am also a changed person now. I no longer get ruffled with the issues that I face during daily life. In fact I still feel strangely at peace, without the anxiety that is ever-present. The distorting noises in the head seem to have subsided and so has my migraines. I hope my experience could be of good use to you all and has not bored you. Every one of you needs to make this sort of a journey if you still haven’t. It will change your perspective of life, I guarantee that. Cheers, Xano PS: Thanks to all the gutka consumers and this review is dedicated to them. Read More

We rapidly covered ground where it was flat and felt exhausted when it got steep. My friend was panicking and was worried if we could make it to the top before sunset. With the clouds, all the insects and snakes and absolute darkness, spending a night in the mountain was unimaginable for us. But I k...ept my cool until I reached a point where there was a four meter wide, steeply inclined waterfall. I could see the path after the waterfall. The steepness was so that if any of us slipped, we would not survive. My friend managed to find a footing and was barely able to cross over. When I tried to cross over I lost footing and slipped. I was going down, just then I got hold of a tree’s root and held on. I summoned all my strength and set foot in a slight depression of the rock and held out my hand to my friend. Somehow he managed to reach out and pulled me across. I was breathless and couldn’t to even thank him for saving my life. I regrouped my mental faculties, thanked god and proceeded ahead. The time was 5:00 pm and still no sight of the top. We finished the glucose bottle and resumed climbing. We came across a family with goats coming downwards who informed that the top was only 30 mins away. But it took us more than an hour, all our energy and will power to reach to the top. We had finally made it to the top. We shook our hands and hugged each other. There were a few local kids playing at the top who told us that the Bhimashanker temple was only a few minutes away. We felt some of the energy returning. We reached the temple shrine, and took a dip in the chilly water stream inside and went in for darshan. I felt totally at peace here inside the temple. I prayed and prayed and I could sense the presence of God here inside the temple. How does one sense God? I believe that when the elusive singularity of mind is achieved, we are in presence of God. I simple did not wish to leave. Read More

We climbed paths that had inclinations over 70 to 80 degrees. We passed lot of snake holes, and had to hold to tree roots to get a steady footing. There were points where both of us had no energy to breath let alone climb. We couldn’t even take a few minute breaks as mosquitoes and other insects sta...rted to bite us and make noises in our ears. I almost thought of giving up and going back down… but you see the path downwards was extremely dangerous as our Woodlands were not offering any grip in the wet mossy rocks and we were sure to break our necks. No, the only way was up, and I had no strength and the wheezing simply refused to subside. I thought of my wife and my newborn child and started wondering if I could ever get out of this situation. I prayed to god Shiva, and asked him for strength and a cure for my wheezing. Within a few seconds my wheezing subsided and the fatigue went away. I would like to say that my underweight companion was in the same state I was and he got some energy and zest as well. We still had to climb a height of a 40 storey building, but I strangely felt that I could make it. The time was 3:30 pm and the clouds had rapidly set in. I could only see a few meters ahead and asked my friend who was walking ahead of me to call out my name frequently. Read More

It’s been a while since I wrote a review for Mouthshut or any other website for that matter. It’s too much a hassle you know… first write a review and then wait with bated breath for the other Mouthshut members to rate and comment. It gave a kick initially, but the enthusiasm ebbed out later. So...Read more

But I believe that for any company to create a successful product it has to have a person in charge who is experienced & passionate about the product that is going to be designed and produced. A company that has its eyes fixed at profit margins will be profitable eventually, but is unlikely to c...reate a product that has a cult following. As for Market research, people seldom know precisely what they actually want until they see it in flesh. So how can Market Research ever be accurate? Read More

I am a non technical person. So my take on this particular issue is that the service mechanics tend to liberally drain petrol from the tank for cleaning purposes and take your bike for test rides. This loss of petrol might be affecting your fuel average estimates. If you feel that this is defin...ately not the case, get the bike checked by a third party mechanic. Yep! Offlate there are these writers ( if I can call them that) who post there half baked reviews based on first sightings ( newspaper, auto shows) etc. The writing style is tedious and low on useful content. Why am I saying this?? You already are know all this... hell! you wrote this review. ...I think I am getting frustrated with the current crop of reviews. chao.. Read More

Why do all Biking fanatics fly off the handle the moment something tantalizing is shown. Now, even if Yamaha brings this bike to our country, I think it would only be a somewhat better bike compared to the bajaj dts-fi.... similar to the way the HH Karizma betters Pulsar 180. What I am tryin...g to say is that what we really need are bikes with excess of 500-600 cc liquid cooled engines with atleast 2 cylinders within the 1 - 1.3 lakh rs price tag.Read More

Hi man, this is one good review. It takes quite a talent to articulate the opinions into one concise review. I am a closet smoker and am a fan of an indian brand called 'Gold Flake'. I'know I'know it's not fancy but I simply like the flavour. Only this habit and work saved me from insanity ...when my girlfriend for 5 years married someonelse. cheers. Xano Read More

Hurried, the pace of the movie was. Bad, the acting was. Glitches, there were in the storyline. 'I remember seeing my birth mother', said Leah in 'Return of the Jedi.'-- Clashes with the storyline, does it not! Greatest fan yet, I will remain. Regards Xano

The gents compartment in the mumbai locals are quiet if you compare them with the ladies compartment. But unlike you, I prefer the 'sannata' of the gents comparment. There is a vendor's compartment that is attached to the ladies compartment and I have been in it once. The ladies just can't stop ...yapping. But I am happy that they talk so much and am not complaining. Please keep up the yapping. Good review and welcome to mouthshut. Regards xanoRead More

is what this review has brought back. I saw this movie on doordarshan in very early childhood. Couldn't follow the storyline back then but I knew that i was watching a quality movie. I liked Daram pajji's role most inspite of the hamming. But it was Om prakash who adds life to this movie with hi...s dialogues and expressions. Big B's role was pretty small though. Real sorry about your dad Rajeev. Real good review. Paralysis tratment is very much in its infancy and it can strike anyone. Sad thing is that most people don't know how to react when a family member gets paralysis. Your review certainly puts things in perspective. Regards Xano

As much as I like the idea of rating ad. jingles, I can't relate to your choices. 'Oye bubbly' is simply in bad taste and the 'hey ya hey ya' of Segrams is childish. This tune sounds like one of the maiden compositions of a budding band of pre teens probably below the age of 10. Your review w...as perfect except for the choices. Keep writing though. Cheers Xano. PS: I rate the 'thanda thanda aish cash' jingle much higher than the ones on your list. Read More

Your choices go a long way in explaining why you have had trouble with your girlfriends......... Hehehe.. just kidding. The songs are definately good but I find more romance in bollywood oldies like Muqaddar Ka Siqander, and other movies whose names I cannot recall at the moment. Keep writin...g!
