Again the baazee bashing goes on unabated and people are finding baazee to be the provider of of martyrdom to those intrepid reviewers...again it smacks of unbridled maligning. you have raised issues about auction listings having quality problems , well it is a person to person site and people are... given guidanc eon lsitind in simple and lucid manner as to which categories to choose etal but ultlimately one cannot alter amd modify c2c listings . THe auction model is a new concept to Indian but it is an innovative way of building a vibrant trading community and all inovations from locomotives to cars to computers (thomas watson thought that the world will never need more than 6 computers , cars were supposed to be as useless as any other porduct.)do take time to evolve and gain widepsread acceptance. So most of the reactions are bordering on that despair that as individuals most of us are not able to make a significant difference. I believe that we still a are a nation of great talent and culture which is however getting lost in the muck and soon if the generations to come continue to be vict...im to the state of affairs then we are bound to be in this morass for a long time to come. Ultimately we have to prove to the world that we are an economic power which finally means that there is a trickle down effect of the wealth down to the poor and not that few privileged folks continue o be richer while the 800 million odd Indians still survive in inhuman conditions then all past glory and culture will be in vain , if our poor cannot get water to drink , education that will enhance their horizons and make their life fruitful. At the outset, the issues raised against India by san cannot be refuted by any Indian and they have come to stay as part and parcel of an Indian's psyche where 'sub kuch chalta hai' is the credo ruling. Yes she might have limited exposure to India but then that makes her quick to spot the ills witho...ut emotions dominating the viewpoints . The widespread reaction to the review means that there are two predominant feelings ruling one that of patriotism which for me makes me feel utterly sad that this country which had a glorious tradition in the past (when our kingdoms had highly civilized societies , the Europeans were still barbarians) has come to such degradation. Yes there are such ills in all countries but we seemed to have totally sold this country in the last fifty years to a set of wretched politicians who have exploited and have thrived on the growing illiterate and sycophantic masses.
