I got my problem fixed after sending a mail to coo@icicidirect.com
I got the account enabled within 24 hours and got soft copies of the form via email. Their 'licensed' agent came this time to collect the form, and I took it in writing from him that he has received the duly completed form. I have... not faced any more problems since.
I am also beginning to change my opinion about ICICI as a company. At least they are being responsive and in my opinion improving by the day. This is unlike companies like Reliance Money (which takes your account opening money and runs away) or Sharekhan (which calls you 2 months after you have put up a web query).Read More

I am having the same issue with ICICIDirect and starting yesterday, the jerks have blocked my account after having submitted the forms thrice. The culprit are the agnecy who collects the form and probably dont submit it to the bank. I agree to what you are saying in this comment to be correct with the exception of the last part about being civilized. If you are so civilized, can you help explain the following from your previous comment:
1) You accused me of cooking stories. What made you think so and accuse... without any basis? Is it being civilized and intelligent?
2) Does being educated and net savvy, changes anything if you are cheated? What if you pay someone account opening fees with one year brokerage in advance and then the company neither opens your account nor provides a refund? In the school that I went, they taught me it is called 'cheating'. Did your school teach you something else, maybe calling them 'saints' just because they are big money business?
An advice to you Rgundapa, would be to provide genuine feedback about the product you USE and give relevant rating. The objective of this forum is to help guide others from making a correct purchase decision about a good product and rejecting bad product / service. This is called social-engineering or networking if you have never heard of this before. This is widely in use overseas and consumers there reap ample benefit out of this principle. But since contributors are people like you and me, the very quality of the forum lies in our hands. So, mediocre comments like yours and the earlier mediocre rating and review by you are just adding unwanted waste to an otherwise civilized world. Hope you get the message. Also, please refrain from making unsolicited and incorrect judgement about people you don't know about. This will help save time, heartburns (unless you are absolutely shameless) and other members time, that they spend reading this crap, while they are looking for something meaningful.Read More

I called them and reached a CC girl who asked me for my credit card details on the phone. Are you mixing multiple reviews:
1) You mentioned in ...your comment about empty checks. Probably you meant 'blank cheques'. No one has mentioned giving blank cheques. HAVE YOU GONE BLIND AND MAD WHILE TRYING TO DEFEND THE CROOKS?
2) What happened to your review that you posted about Reliance Money and gave it all 5 stars rating. When I asked you to lower your rating since you had not yet used the product, you rather removed your review. This is a forum of intelligent people who can understand people who are genuine, fake or sellers / beneficiaries. So go and look somewhere else to fool people about the evil called Reliance Money.

Although a fan of Sanjay Dutt, I feel that everyone who makes mistakes should pay for it. In case, the courts take linient view for popular celebrities, this will send out wrong message to these guys.
Why should someone be pardoned just because he or she is someones son and has acted in a few g...ood movies?
If people like us don't encourage the correctness of the law, it is WE who will cry foul tomorrow and scream that our judiciary system is messed up.
Three cheers to our courts and hope that Sanjay Dutt can cope with his sentence and return back stronger than ever.Read More
