Philosophy of life
Be a liberal democrat and help as many persons as possible into becoming one.
Liberal democrat doesn’t mean you belong to a particular political party or a group.
Democratic liberalism is a philosophy to be practiced in day to day life. It is based on certain core values, axioms, which are;
1.Don’t prejudge a person by his caste, creed, color, religion etc. don’t jump to conclusions, don’t be judgmental. Avoid prejudiced and pre-conceived notions.
2. You have a right to say what you think is right, however wrong you may be! How, What, When and Where you say it makes all the difference. Be careful. If you have the rights, so do others! Don’t grudge others’ rights; respect them as much as you value yours.
3.Just because someone agrees with you, does not mean that he is right, or he is your friend, similarly, just because someone does not agree with you, he need not be wrong he need not be construed as an adversary.
4. You as a person have been shaped by a particular set of circumstances and an environment. So have others. If someone lives differently or thinks differently from you, he need not be wrong!
5. God, by whatever name you may call, is one. Ways of reaching Him may have taken different forms of religions, worship, rituals etc. No one can say his way alone is right and others are wrong. Destination is same, paths may be different, and mode of travel may be different. Hence, be respectful of others’ way of life.
Full understanding and practice of above basic axioms will help us overcome hatred, prejudice, promote harmony, friendship, compassion, and help us make this world a better place than what it is.
