About Me
During one of the various summer vacations in the childhood,I vividly remember visiting my Uncle who was a Manager at a bank and on the half yearly closing time,he had come for lunch and I insisted I want to accompany him for the afternoon..he agreed and took me to the strong room-loads of stacked cash really had my eyes pop out.
Another travail,while my Dad was posted in Jorhat,Assam-visit to a relative who owned the Behora Tea Estate in Sibsagar near the Brahmputra-was amazed by the magnanimity of everything-they had a pet White Tiger,Elephant leg stool pedestals,a talking Hill Myna,a baby rhino and even their loo was huge,which had me bamboozled when needed to do my big job and was unable to locate even though was guided right inside-there was a life size fresh flower arrangement,glass panelled floor to ceiling draw almirahs and a dainty Italian marble finely chisselled commode with a seat cover and a small library nearby on the window sill overlooking the large Tea estate and mein bechara kabhi soch bhi nhi sakta tha ki yahaan potty kar sakte hain.
Third was an incident-wher IG Prisons,My munh bole mamaji called us over to their farm house and we saw Mamraj,their valet in royal attire with a spik white pathani, a maroon crest adorned with sparkling brass bottons and Turreh wali pagdi serving us Limca & Fanta & Kaju.
I bring to note these events that every time I wished I will like to do a job somewhat like one of these...where there is a lot of money,spactacular ambience and crisp uniforms to bedazzle....Mujhe kya pta tha Hotel main naukri milegi...all 3 rolled in One...thats me a simpleton from a family of defense background and studied in 9 differenr schools,made friends every time and shifted base and so gathered experiences in life.

Interests
Foodie to the core,but that ain’t mean that I’m a critic,but Yes! I do my reviews only based on unbiased experiences and facts for the products and services only.
Travel fanatic,give me half a day off,and I am off on a drive to wherever and with a couple of days at hand,its a new destination for me.
Sports-passionate about field sports,especially cricket(like a religion as they say in India),Football has caught my fancy of late, NBA(WOW),Hockey-used to be a good player myself a few decades ago.
Volleyball-Do not follow it much except when they show the Beach types,but was in love with the sport for a very long time during college.
Amongst the Indoor Games,Monopoly ranks up there,Chess and Scrabble are family get together games,snuggled in quilts during winters and masala chai with mathris every hour flowing from the kitchen.
Uno,Black Jack,Rummy are a few card games that are good time pass-No Stakes though!! |
