Liked the blow by blow account you gave of your whole deciding and buying experience. I also liked this machine since it seems a laptop that can act as both a multi-media m/c and a business m/c (after some futher loading). However I decided to purchase this in the US where prices are at least 30...-40% cheaper than here due to special deals and coupons. A loaded Inspiron 6400 (Core Duo T2400, 1 GB Ram, 80 GB Sata, 8xdual channel DVD) cost me just $950 (about Rs.44000). Here it would cost me Rs. 65,500. Either I or a friend of mine will visit the US in 2-3 months and will pick it up.Read More

Sri - Maybe you didnt like it. I wrote it as I experieneced it. If you had a bad experience tough luck but that does not negate mine own. So thank you but no thanks to your suggestion for being different.

A good review. The cast and acting were very good but I felt the movie dragged a bit. More suited for theatre than cinema was my take. Great review of Mudumalai. My wife and I went to Mudumalai in June of 2002. We stayed for 2 days in the forest department bungalows at Theppakadu and 3 days in the Masinagudi wild life lodge also run by the forest department. Reservations to these have to be made at Ooty. Costs are very low, if I... remember Rs. 200 per day and moreover the lodges are in very good locations. The Theppakadu lodge is in the forest itself while the Masinagudi one just adjoins it. We went for a hike around the edges of the forest from Masinagudi (since we are not allowed into the forest) and managed to see a herd of wild elephants, a hyaena, wild boar and chital. Seeing wild elephants with young calves from about 200 metres and while you are on foot is not an experience I'll forget in a hurry. Fabulous experience. VivekRead More

Very nice review and took me back to the old days. But methinks there's a just a bit of nostalgic gauze in your eye as you view DD now. Admittedly there were some bright sparks on DD. But so much of it was rank bad from its use as political propaganda machine to mind numbingly boring serials (Buniya...ad et al being the odd men out) to sports telecasts with one camera and several poor commentators like Narottam Puri and Kishore Bhimani.Yea gods. Liked your review. I thought Cruise was not too bad and the problem was more with a difficult to credit story line esp. the equation between Cruise and Watanabe. But yes, it is a very watchable movie. Vivek
