About Me
After being the City Editor of MiD DAY, a daily tabloid in Bangalore, he now freelances as editor/writer/photographer. He has just completed one travel book and finished editing the other. He regularly contributes to a couple of American portals on digital photography and computers.
He is a regular movie columnist for the in-flight magazine of Paramount Airways besides contributing technology/gadgets pieces to Mint, the business newspaper of The Wall Street Journal and The Hindustan Times.
He is also on the advisory board of a newly-launched magazine on the South Indian film industry. These apart, he is in the throes of writing two film scripts and bringing out his book of short stories.
That’s not all.
Much before all this, he was heading the Bangalore bureau of Explocity and in-charge of the following publications: 080, a monthly lifestyle magazine; City Reporter, a weekly tabloid; Bangalore City Info, a fortnightly tourist magazine; Cafe Beat, a monthly national tabloid for Cafe Coffee Day, and Investalk, the inhouse journal of the Dubai Investment Group...
The list is never-ending, but all he has to say is this: even after 12 years in this field, I still feel like a fresher exploring the world goggle-eyed. Do you feel the same?

Interests
1. Taking a walk in the park and travelling to places far and wide
2. Writing short stories, personal essays, editing and proofing bad copy... a thankless job but someone’s got to do it!
3. Mining the internet for information, entertainment, friends and acquaintances... online dating of a kind.
4. Jet skiing: you set the speed and the danger level. Nothing can beat this adrenaline high
5. Water slides: you kill your fear of water and heights with just one ride like this and after that, you feel like doing it all the time.
6. Music: Though I trip on every kind of music, a special mention must be made of Hip hop, soft rock, pop and sufi.
7. Watching films, English TV serials and Hindi reality shows: If they are good, nothing is more pleasurable. Otherwise, you are out on luck. God help you! |
