About Me
Im a textile designer by profession, but would one day like to seriously pursue photography, writing and being a food critique, not necessarily at the same time though.
Love to read, mostly autobiographical stuff from Richard Bach and James Herriot. Paulo Coelho, and am also an avid fan of the author Anne Rice. Other authors include Kenneth Anderson, Jim Corbett, Mario Puzo, Harry Potter, Arthur Hailey, Robin Cook, Erich Seagal,Ayn Rand....!
Firmly believe in fate- life after death-ESP-the power of the mind and many things mostly unknown, simple because I think Ive seen a thing too many! I also have a heightened sense of imagination- that helps in these sort of beliefs !!
I trust easily, and like conversing with people with a strong character-those who have something to say, and who do it well. Am respectful although not necessarily always agreeable, and often tend to think from the other persons shoes.
Am a sucker for mystery and pretty sure Id make a real good case for a detective
Am romantic at heart, and like nothing better than sitting on the beach and staring at the water. Infact am a shippie by birth (father is in the merchant navy), and the sea is literally in my blood. I love the awesome (sometimes intimidating) strength of the sea and the gentle waves that caress the shores.
My idea of a dream vacation would be on a ship in the middle of the sea with a loved one or being holed up in a luxurious cabin in the middle of a wild, wild jungle!
Am not a great travel enthusiast so to say but love Europe and its medley of cultures and unknown (to me) languages....

Interests
My interests include photography, wildlife, reading, eating, surfing the net, listening to music- I learnt vocal music for 4 years and play the veena and learnt bharatnatyam (which I found totally uninteresting, unfeminine and vigorous)
Other areas of interest are driving and writing-and recently cooking! Am also glued to Discoverys Travel & Living-a channel that intrigues me no end!
I love the platform that MS has given, to itchy fingers waiting to write, for frustrated souls venting out their philosophies, for gems of people that open up to strangers and make great friends, and for worthy recommendations all round. |
