:) first off, Sam, thanks for that m2m! It feels wonderful to be remembered. I do miss MS but then old must ring in the new, no? Nice review there. Only yesterday, I was having a look at this and found it just mediocre. So stay away, I will :) Ah! commenting on MS feels like visiting your childhoo...d home. Every nook and corner has memories attached to it and yet you feel grown up! But let me not digress. VU review for sure and thanks for the wake up call :) ShantiRead More

Sorry Itika for that NU but this invited it 'to Tollywood, which is still living 20 years behind Bollywood' You are absolutely justified in hating the movie for whatsoever reasons but then statements like 'It is great for the south Indian audience who is used to rash acting, stunts and dan...ces. We Bollywood viewers are much refined…' are totally unwarranted!!! Shyam has already said what needs to be said and like someone here said havent you heard of Mani Ratnam/AR Rehman/and many more! Your review was too biassed and its certainly not a generalisation the way you claim it to be! I have nothing more to add :)Read More

oh well... I dont like secrets you see. I am such a big mouth, they just dont remain within me ;) But even though sometimes I cant think beyond a nasty boss, I am also 'a firm believer of destiny and that each event in life happens for a reason'. So, let me be positive that you will gift it to ...me someday :P And yes, the day and the year is good, HNY (read honey;) ShantiRead More

Shyam I saw Sohails outburst on the TV. I am no less outraged. Government has been at its worst. There is not an ounce of doubt that someone up there has even helped the perpetrators get through. There are a 100 questions raging within all our minds and which have been raised by the media for which... I am not even sure we will get an answer. But then again, just crying and cribbing is no solution. I agree with behaveurself. We need to be responsible citizens frist. Dont you think it would be easy for the terrorists to buy their way through with mere 100 rs. This is what we need to attack first. Make our security team as motivated as the terrorists were, if not more. Withdraw the salary of these politicians and give it these people who truly deserve it. We need to make a lot of reforms in the rules which were given to us by Britishers and which even after 60 years we are still carrying with us! Then comes moral and social responsibility. As behave said, we need to keep our eyes open and be more vigilant. If we are being frisked in malls and public places, we should realise that its for our own welfare rather than argue with the security guards. Maybe a compulsary military training would not be a bad idea either. On the whole, right now, I am pretty much disturbed. Let us do something rather than just scream. More later, ShantiRead More

:) Lovely post, Paulose! You know everytime someone asks me how many children I have, I say 4 - two are born to me and 2 others gave birth to my husband! Looking after them has been an up and down journey. There are times when I tear my hair out in frustration wondering if life is not better in nuc...lear families and the next moment I curse myself for even thinking that way! You are so right that we need to take care of our parents and we dont need to count the reasons for that. Having them around has been a blessing; the fruit of some good deed I did in my past life! But again, I wonder what is going to happen when I grow old! I know of an old couple whose both the kids are abroad. They have already booked themselves in an old age home :( They do not wish to burden their kids. Will I be able to detach myself like they did? Sigh! A very thought provoking post! ShantiRead More

If Paulose will not eat his dinner tonight, then...then... I am not shopping tomorrow but will buy this book with money ;) A totally mixed reaction on the book. Maybe a booker winner attracts greater criticism. Like we know, the book never got sold much when it was not declared a winner. Why do ...you think that would be? I have never been able to admire all these award winning books. But maybe I will reserve my comment till I read this one Are you really back? :)) ShantiRead More

arre wah! Lucky you. I did get a chance to perform in front of Rajiv Gandhi once. But noone to beat Indira ji for sure. That was a wonderful dedication. You are so right. I wish we had one dynamic leader like her today! Just one!

behave! Too good a review. I hope you wont be shocked if I admit that till date I havent seen any MadhurB movie thought would have loved to. Basically because his movies are not the sorts I would want my kids to watch or interpret; and did not get chance to watch any of them alone! Maybe I should t...ry some late night stuff ;) you-know-what-I mean :P But yes, I was imprssed with the promos and Kangana too. Like many have mentioned here, somehow she has typecast herself into such roles. Its time she tries some comedy. I think I saw her recently in some Tamil movie too... but she was saree-clad and veeeeeeeery diff! and to tell you frankly, your reviews rock as much as Farhan's rock band :D Will watch this one and come back with a decent, meaningful, blah, blah comment :) ShantiRead More
