Lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place too often...too cool to represent your opinion on the book...Sequels generally will have the burden of expectation and to match that the sequel has to be better than the prequel...good write up there...

Thanks Deepa...in fact the title was tempting me to buy it but it turned out to be only 50 percent feminist views, rest a humanist...for the quotes, yes, the book has many quotes like that you can say 100 plus...I only selected few...

Hi... Good to see that you are continuing the bollytalk....that's cool! Now a days small films has to struggle really hard to make any big revenue and the low cost may prompt the producers to limit their advertisements. Then, a wise producer may product the movie with a low cost but promote it well,... so that they attain high revenue out of it....

Oh! How I love the movie till the last 30 minutes or so. It was different and I enjoyed it. Then, by the climax the movie was just lost out of stamina with less content.
Your reference to Thoovanathumbikal is correct. Had the writers been little more careful it could have been presented much bet...ter way to make it as a classic. As such, your rating is justified for a feel good romantic film. Keep writing....Read More

That's right. It is the universality of the subject or say the emotions on which the makers bank on worked the wonder. No doubt there are many good films around than Drishyam. Then, it is the success of the writer which made the film different. The writer took nearly 1 hour 10 minutes to establish t...he characters and situation and the strike started the story. This made the characters set well with the audience and when their favorites are in danger they moved with them. The brutality even when it happened, it worked the family way, especially against the younger girl. Having said all, the film got a unanimous (almost) yes and that mattered at box office. Indeed, it will take many films to recreate the habit of theater going among the audience, but it is a beginning I believe. The film proved one more point which Bangalore Days reconfirmed, i.e. a well made film if promoted well can reap many fold profit and people still don't mind paying money to watch a film if it can really entertain them.
For Bangalore days, I liked the film and yes, a family subject been told in cosmopolitan environment. The friendship factor, evervibrant Nazria, young star Nivin Polly and Dulqar did well in the film. The director of Anjali Menon did a wonderful job in the film to make it as a cool film. However, the writer Anjali Menon I felt disappointed me. This I say in comparison with Ustad Hotel. In an attempt to justify each and every character and to complete each and every story, the movie was shifting focus often which fail to keep the initially created wonder throughout. Still, yes, it is one of the best entertainers in these days. I liked Om Shanti Osana also. For Punyalan Agarbathis, true there is a mixture of gen films and worked well. Excellent review in part turned out to be a mini analysis of detective movies in Malayalam. Drishyam is the best thing happened to Malayalam cinema, no, to Indian cinema. (The way Drishya is getting accepted in Kannada, I am sure in the coming months and years it is going to rock Indian screen for a... needed change.) This is one movie which have a unanimous opinion. The movie nearly undid the 3 years work of new gen movies and bringing back the celebration of story based cinema to theaters and people out of their houses. The success of How Old Are you and Banglaore days has something to do with the success of Drishyam where the families are now getting a habit of coming out of their houses to theaters and they are enjoying it.
I thought of writing a review about the movie long back, but somehow delayed and delayed and finally didn't happen till today...

Cool! Indeed, the movie is an all out winner. I went to it with all the expectations and is fully satisfied with the film. I think that makes the film a huge hit, i.e. satisfy you even after you watch it with high expectation.
As such the movie is doing well in Karnataka as well, (Drishya) and T...elugu version is coming this weekend. You are correct in your statement this is a film which will each Indian will be proud of, for the movie is been made in India and each Indian can connect to its characters and story...Keep writing...Read More

Cool review there!!! Dracula is a master piece and as in my review, nothing less than 5 from my side. As of now I am doing a translation of it to Malayalam and I can appreciate the novel 10 times that I liked it in the first place and gave 5 star. The novel when read in depth has many layers and eac...h layer is beautiful. Even the horror is beautifully decorated. If one read the novel in depth there is another Dracula in each of its characters and what a joy to find it out.
