As you must have read on my recently updated review on the Viva, there are some ups and downs with every car. Question for Arun: I am facing one funny problem with the car since the beginning. When you start the car in the morning cold, does the engine rev up to give a 'kitter-kitter' metal clan...king sound? Your response would be much appreciated. I just hope this is not abnormal. I still like my Viva, and the roaring engine sound, but not this klanking noise. Read More

I already have a very powerful music system bought 1.5 years back. Plays MP3, VCD and the likes. Now I don't want to trash it so soon, but definitely want to play DVDs. So I decide to go in for one of those slim ones. When it comes to features such as playing home video, and scratched CDs, the b...Read more

Want good taste and hygiene? Go look somewhere else. I used to like this beer a lot because of the flavor, till I had the recent incidents. The beer tastes a bitter, no beer is supposed to be sweet, but this one is not pleasant on the tongue. And the quality has gone down You know what,...Read more

hi Kumar, I appreciate your comment on the review. Please note, my review is about the dealer I dealt with. Absolutely no offense meant for any other dealer. But yes, the accessories I am talking about are, Hyundai approved accessories and fitted by Hyundai employees. Yes, I am ready to pay... extra for good quality products. But the fact still remains the same. Even the replaced mats are not as good as the sample they display. The sample looks very sturdy. But the replacements they gave to my is really really flimsy. It is so flimsy, it rolls and wrinkles up as if made up of polybag material. That's cheating. And about workmanship, they now admit, it was an error on their part while the gearshift lock was installed. And to fix it, they hammer in a metal strip to re-adjust height. And they have no answer to it. Please don't take it personally. This review is for Hyundai Motor Plaza, Delhi. And not for you. Do me a favor if you can. Please send me the email ID of the quality manager at Hyundai, as it is beneficial for your company that he should know. So that such occurrence can be avoided in future. -Uday Read More

Chivas Regal..This one definitely steals the cake when it comes to smooth taste. The golden color, and good aroma, that's what it offers. A little expensive in the Indian market, but it is worth the price. I don't always buy this one but whenever I really want to have a nice long good time, I be...Read more

Well I usually go for the Riviera. But once I had to pick this one coz the usual was not available. This one was available for 160 Rs compared to the 320 Rs Riviera. And believe me, if you are a wine drinker (although Riviera is also not a very elite one) Mc Dowell Bosca Wine is not the one you ...Read more

This is regarding metea's comment. Not all Indian sites are like that. I find rediff.com to be of a better nature. Well... about indiatimes, as I said, their cash on delivery system is pretty efficient. Although they commit 7 days delivery time, I received the shipment in 3 days flat! Proba...bly because they were eager to recover money and profits. But with prepayment system (using credit card etc.) one thing is clear with sites like these. The amount is credited to your card, the moment you order. And once you, the customer has paid, they no more treat you as a customer. a better way to put it: they treat you as LIABILITY. And that's the problem with most of the indian companies. They would keep trying to shake of the blame to other factors. Courier company is delaying, government postal system is bad.... blah blah. They don't seem to understad, the customer gave them the money. And he want the product from indiatimes. Why should the customer suffer because indiatimes selected a cheap courier company, or cheap customer care staff, and cheap telephone lines with just a couple of numbers to support hundreds of clients. Yes, their phone lines are perpetually busy. Looks like they do not have more than two lines. I think they have a very competitive analysis team who must have analyzed that as per the quality of service, one year down the line, they would not have many customers. So why to expand teh support systems ;)Read More
