your biased review is a good example of how not to review a movie. this was based on haji mastan who is not in pakistan. get over your ignorance.

Plot-Totally asinine ripoff of Back to the Future. Vipul Shah, how about not messing with a classic in the future? Acting- Akki is grating to the nerves, his looks and acting was horrible. Aishwarya looks old and has lost her charm, she was never a thespian to begin with. Rest of the cast- im...Read more

I was hoping this movie was going to be something like Jhoom Barabar Jhoom which I loved. Unfortunately, this is not even 10% of the movie JBJ was. You could see glimpses of what the director was going for -irreverent post modern noir caper buddy comedy road film(!), but the result was such a ho...Read more

nice review! i know people seem to have no patience for classy movies, they want their instant gratification same old tired masala potboiler.. having said that , JA could have had some better editing.. i loved the language in the movie- the urdu and sanskritised hindi..definitely fit the milieu ...your review is somewhat difficult to read coz of lack of punctuation and capitalization cheers!Read More

v good and detailed review, you have very nicely outlined why you loved the movie, i loved some portion of it too more than others , yeah aish was so much better than that abomination called dhoom-2, she does so much better with traditional indian characters.. hrithik tried hard, and certainly looke...d the part! cheersRead More

v nice review, written straight from the heart! i know those scenes between akbar and jodha were truly magical..when he is totally smitten by her after the man mohana song( and the cute expression he has on his face when he doesnt know what to do with the aarti) and the song'in lamhon ke' truly exp...ressed the passion and romance , brought to fruition!Read More

Hey bhagwan! when are we going to move past communalism and religious intolerance and embrace secularism in its true form? Hemu had a 2 minute appearance in the movie, which showed a historical fact that he was defeated. The intention of the movie was not to showcase hemu, it was about Akbar, s...o I find your arguments without merit. You probably missed the memo from Ashu- he said the movie was 30% facts, 70% imagination, so allegations of historical misinterpretation do not arise when the man is reimagining events in his own mind- its called FICTION!! Ashu wanted to make a movie about INDIA's history, Indian history is a melting pot of all sorts of influences including yes islamic influence-which you may want to shove under the carpet, but fact is it is an undeniable part of our history . All our influences contributed to making indians what they are- generally secular tolerant people. In conclusion, your hypothesis is entirely baseless I am afraid, it seems you are all about hindutva pride. thanks and regards Read More

hi srini the ghooghat scene was novel, cuz the buildup to it ( the practise of rajputs when a son in law visits for the first time) is something i have never heard of or seen on screen. The sheer tingly romance in the air when akbar is searching out for his gal ( using her ring to ID her) was so ...cute, he had mischeiveous look in his eyes and when he lifts up the ghoonghat, the framing of the scene is only focussed on Jodha's eyes.. and she has such a look of wonder and rapture on her face , like all her defences have finally been breached and she is on the verge of falling in love with this guy. while i understand the urdu words may be hard , but you got the gist of what those words meant right? i mean gotta give ashu some points on authentiity, Akbar should be speaking in a language slightly different from his subjects but not totally over the audiences head.. I mean i think mughelazam had much tougher urdu and people think its a classic! yeah u r right, alll the subplots didnt gel as a whole, and the movie aint a masterpeice, but the most important part of the movie worked like a dream.- to me- i.e the crackling chemistry between the lead pair nehow i dont wanna impose my views on you.. just giving u my pov but we all see movies differently and from our perspective take careRead More

srini the romance was a good 2 hours, from the meeting to the milan ki raat:) it was a slow delicious build -up and some of the scenes were to die for, example when Akbar has to find Jodha in the crowd of women at her dad's place, the framing of that shot, where you only see her eyes as he is lif...ting her ghooghat, still gives me goosebumps if you like romantic movies, then you will appreciate this one. yeah too many sideplots no doubt but i honed in only on the romance and was rewarded. Btw- i agree maham anga was a bit like th Ekta kapoor serials, i mean those bulging eyes and all.. they cld have toned that down. I think I already explained why Akbar went incognito, it was pretty obvious in the movie and the audience was having fun coz Akbar was basically parroting the words jodha had spoken to him the nite before. Lastly if hindi/urdu is not your native language i can understand your disinterest in large chunks of the dialog cheersRead More
