My Friend Gokul…A True Story

Jan 14, 2016 10:48 PM

Agree But @nagaraj127, your point is true and well taken, but the receiver of the advice should have the humility and the wisdom to listen and accept our advice, otherwise the exercise becomes futile and only backfires.

I missed adding the charger details. The charger provided is a fast 2 ampere one which facilitates fast charging. An hour of charging adds 40% of power to the battery which is pretty good.

Andaz brings nostalgic memories of a era which thrills the mind of the youth of those days. It had such beautiful songs 'Dil use do Jo Jaan De De, Jaan use do Jo dil dee', ' Hain Na Bolo Bolo' 'Zindagi Ek safar Hain Suhana', ' Sunlo Sunatha Hoon thumko kahani' are all evergreen tunes. Yes Andaaz was... at a time when Shammi's stardom was fading and Rajesh Khanna's was rising. Namak Haram on the other hand was at a time when Rajesh Khanna's super stardom was fading and Amitabh's was just beginning to rise. Apart from its music, Andaz opened the thoughts of society to remarriage for people who lose their partners. It conveys a positive message, that while the love of a deceased partner cannot be forgotten, life should move on with positive approach and there was nothing wrong in resettling in marriage with another person, both for the sake of the surviving partner and the children.Read More

Let's talk about writing - 2

May 28, 2015 06:23 PM (Updated May 28, 2015 06:25 PM)

Nicely Put Writing is bringing out some of your innermost thoughts, expressions and feelings and finding the right words that describe them. Being an emotional person I can only write on subjects I feel strongly about and can passionately express my thoughts about them. Yes the ambience does m...atter and gives you the right spirit of mind to reflect and collect your thoughts. The most difficult parts are the beginning and the conclusion part of the write up. The body just flows on. Yes, we do not remember much of the middle lines. The start and the end do remain for long in memory.Read More

A very well written review Jitendra. My daughter had seen this movie and has been coaxing me to see it as well. Probably will get to see it this weekend. I always admire the way you take time to write such detailed reviews on subjects of your experience and interest, especially the way you describe... each situation and connect it well to your personal life, making it so much more connective. I enjoyed reading your review. After a long time I am on MS. Thank you for the nice review and wishing you many good times of writing in the days to come. regards, ThomasRead More

All Right Thinking people are concerned Not much of a choice before the voters. One party is yet to prove itself in Governance. Another has gotten the people disgusted with Corruption. The major one ruling today which gave much hope and still gives hope for a Prosperous and Strong India is founded o...n a ideology of exclusiveness and right wing extremism and is covering it up in the garb of Governance and Development. My Country has a long way to go, we are still in the Pre Reformation times of European History. May God Be with our children and their future and help them face and overcome the challenges.Read More

Tough times don't last, Tough people do.

Nov 19, 2014 08:50 PM

Our sufferirings have a purpose and meaning When we experience love only then we understand what it means and we learn to love others. When we experience, pain we understand the suffering of others in similar situations and reach out to them to lend a helping hand or a caring word. When I used to ...take my wife for Chemo treatment during her 2007 trauma I used to look at the other people and their families in similar situations and I used to pray for them silently, This help me connect with them in my mind and soul and help me understand the deeper side of life. Life in its physical form whether human or that of pets, is transitory and is bound to end one day. But the experience of the Love experienced from your father or the joy you shared with your pet will live in your heart forever. I believe there is a life much beyond this physical self which starts and ends with the Eternal Intelligence and the Supreme Being whom we call in different names whether it be Allah, Ram, Yahweh or Jesus. The names are just channels the source and the power is the same one God who loves us all because we are his creation. Your pain will pass away with time, but the pleasant memories need to be cherished, I hope and pray that very soon you should find what you are looking for in your life. The Joy and Meaning of your Journey on earth. Wish you a Beautiful Life Ahead Son. God Bless.Read More

Traitor

Nov 19, 2014 08:35 PM

You are very special Hello Siddharth, it has been so long since I interacted with you. The very fact that you chose to open up your heart and are repentant for your past mistakes is itself a sign of NEW things to come in your life. You are a unique and very special person who loves your Mom and Dad ...a lot. The fact that you are so loving a person reflects of the goodness of your parents. Your Mom loves you a lot and does not remember or keep count of the money you lost in business. But she is growing old and may not be able to support you in times to come. What is more important than money is that you be there for her and give her your love and support in her old age. Parents do not keep count of the hurts children cause them, they just love them and that is all they know. God's love is much beyond human love and God forgives all sins of man even if he repents in the last minute on his life. Hence, do not keep count of your mistakes. Heal yourself of them and start life anew. You will have wonderful times and blessings ahead in days to come. May God Bless and keep you always close in his abounding Love.Read More

Inspiring Review: We all have our unfulfilled dreams. We compromise to family, social and economic circumstances and learn to live to just survive. But the desire of that unfulfilled dream always lingers on. I too wanted to be a lecturer if not a professor so that I could reach out and inspire many ...youngsters to lead a purposeful and happy lives. But circumstances did not allow me to pursue my highter education and I landed in a banking career. The desire for teaching still lingers on. A nice review of an excellent film. Being a passionate person and a music buff I could connect to the music of the film, and being a dreamer I could connect to the theme of the movie and the characters and their emotions. Lakshmi Saragaara, A Slender Ray in the Thick Dark of the Indian Society

Feb 10, 2013 07:40 PM

A beautiful review I fully support your thoughts and sentiments on the subject. A precious and close relationship such as marriage has been made a farce by our caste, religion and other traditional practices. Child marriages and Sati were the offshoots of wars and foreign invasions in Rajasthan. But... this is 21st century and we have to move with the changing times. Hats off to the brave young woman Lakshmi Saragaara, may she give inspiration and show the way forward to the abolition of this practice in her society. I hope one day society will slowly move away from all narrow considerations and move towards the ultimate Utopian goal of oneness and unconditional human love. Your thoughts on such topics show your affectionate and selfless character. Regards TomRead More
