I am a late reviewer for this movie and was misled into watching this lousy show by the banner and the big names involved in this. Man, was I astounded by the pathetic show from such a talented bunch. I could not see a single positive from this movie. Oh yes, there were a few positives, I had...Read more

This is an extremely lousy movie. Re songs : Its a total disappointment. I will comment more strongly when I also add my review. Challa - the song had a good tune, but the singer seemed to be suffering from bouts of constipation and breathlessness - especially towards the end of the song and in high... pitch. Ishq shava was supposed to be sensual but turned out to be pathetic. I did not understand what SRK was doing in the movie de-fusing bomb after bomb in a manner not so different from an electrician who checks general wiring at my house.Read More

Ha ha... you managed to watch an Akshay kumar movie - great !!! I read some reviews on his movies in a leading daily and I did watch ACtion Replayy - for Action Replayy the bottomline of the reviewer was : Replay is fine, but where is the action. For his movie Joker the same daily wrote : Movies lik...e JOKER make Tees Maar Khan look like a classic. Guess Akshay has lost his mind and is simplt whiling away his time in movies with B Grade dialogues and an average comedy line in the movie. I have had enough of this Aflatoon... ha ha ha ha ha ha....Read More

I am probably a very late entrant on this forum where countless reviewers have expressed their views on this book. For some time, I was sick of reading stories by some Indian authors. Chetan Bhagat entered the scene with some promise, but chose to follow the path of mediocrity and his subsequent...Read more

Hey, Mandar COCKatoo sucks big time with this lousy story. If u feel that this book is a good debut novel, then you have a perverted sense of whats good literature and have not crossed beyond the first grade in school. If you have ever heard of cantilever stomach and believe that such a term can evo...ke laughter, please review your prose - at worst this book can only help reduce constipation because you will be forced to s**t and puke after reading this crass.Read More

Desmond Bagley is an author who was supposed to have a style similar to James Hadley Chase - this was how I was introduced to Desmond Bagley. For an avid and die hard fan of James Hadley Chase, like me, getting more reading material on some simple, yet gripping material was always a welcome thou...Read more

I have used an E72 for close to an year now and have no complaints at all. Except for a couple of times when it suddenly hung, I have faced no issues at all and battery life is very good. I use it for surfing, emails, storing data and for clicking photos. The phone rocks. I had an experience like yo...urs with a Sony Ericsson phone (k510i) the model was much praised and moved well in the market but mine was a poor handset. Sometimes this bad luck does happen. This book is a lousy attempt at writing. The author started wandering - he broached a subject without proper research and the end is there for all to see. I wont even rate this as 2 stars. Poor attempt and a tame handling of a possibly powerful topic.

7am arivu is a very good attempt at exploring new areas, but falls flat after promising a lot. I gathered that the reviews were mixed. I wanted to check this out and my verdict is that it just passes muster. There is nothing spectacular about this movie. Let me explain. The plot: Wikipedia ha...Read more

@deepak : I have read Johnny Gone Down - I felt that the story was too lax - the author tried to mould Chase and some others into a package. I would rate it on par with Keep The Change - not that good. But again, as you say Karan Bajaj scores high over fools like Mandar Kokate who in my opinion has ...hit the Nadir of Indian writing. These books are only time pass - Of all the Indian authors I feel only Ruskin Bond is real good. You have some amazing writers like R K Narayanan who produce very skillful works- but the current set of authors are just piecing together some excerpts from various books and are claiming to have imagined the stuff. Thats what is pathetic in our writers - lack of originality. Kushwant Singh is a witty and a very good writer.Read More

For a debut novel, I must say that this work passes muster. I like to read some budding authors in the Indian circuit. Some of them hold the promise of maturing into renowned authors, some just try their hand at writing and some are just whiling away their time in trying to concoct some peculiar...Read more

A crisp review. I do not remember reading the book in full, but have watched the animated version of the movie. I always believe that books bring out emotions and messages stronger than in movies. You have written a crisp and a succinct review on the story and have touched on the salient points. Wil...l try and catch up on this work too. I like Dicken's prose - lyrical; his knowledge of the language is immense; Of the authors in that period, I like Tolstoy, Mark Twain et al. Loads to discuss. And I see the regulars here in Desperado, Deepak 27 et al. Happy Diwali to all !!!Read More
