Daily charging is quite common with most smartphones. Frequent users of iPhone and Blackberry devices are known to charge their phones twice a day.
You should have received a screen-guard with the phone. Many users have reported receiving two screen-guards (one installed, one spare) with the phon...es. If not available, you can always buy a bigger screen-guard and cut it into shape.
After-all with the thousand odd models of phones in Indian market, I doubt if any screen-guard manufacturer will be able to keep up. There's always good old 'Lamination' for the rest of us.
The phone suffers from a engineering problem due to which the capacitive touch-screen becomes nearly impossible to use when the phone is being charged. Some users have reported that using a compatible charger from Nokia/Samsun (5V DC, 500mA) solves the problem and the Karbonn charger is at fault.

The GPS is as good as the A9+. My phone has Google Maps and CityMaps2Go loaded. In outdoor open environment, the phone is able to lock GPS accurately in about 5 seconds. In indoors (with partial access to sky and access to Internet), it takes about 10-15 seconds to achieve fairly accurate.

You can try rooting the phone to remove some apps that are bundled with the phone and which start with the phone and occupy RAM. More details on my blog.
Android OS does not kill apps, just suspends them. A long press on the Home button will show thumbnails of the apps that are running. You can d...rag these thumbnails to the left to kill them.
