For the benefit of other people looking to purchase Max Bupa policy. For my concern, I have received varying answers from the company for 12% increase in premium and I have mentioned those. Latest response from company on continuous chase is that the hike is culmination of a) increase that would hav...e happened as normal b) increase that has happened due to new product version launched. Now, I never got any mail/comm that suggested that I should be ready for above culmination and increase in premium. Their comm suggested that due to new product the premium would increase by 0-5%, thats all. Now, its upto customer, if he is intelligent enough to understand, as company will not have any transparency to disclose this. I have taken my case to Bima Lokpal, Delhi. Again, I was not given any intimation of 2015 premium increase and the doc shared by max bupa on 26 mar 2015 talks of 2016 premium increase, as per max bupa response.
