Hi Pasu_cbe, firstly feel very sorry for the infection in ur eyes. I completely agree with u about Dr. Chitra Ramamoorthy. She doesnt care about the patients. I had done my LASIK in that hospital and it was done by her. While performing the LASIK suregery, she was talking to the nurses about sare...es and jewels. I had got a problem (rare one again) - LASIK Induced Ectasia. When I went to meet her post the surgery, she started giving a big list of treatments for this problem happily (she can get more money - right). She didnt bother to explain why this happened and is it curable etc. Later I asked for the scan copies to get second opinion. I ended up fighting with the hospital and even met Dr. Ramamurthy. They didnt give me the reports giving all sorts of reasons like missing etc. This itself proves how confident they are about their treatments. So people, PLEASE DONT GO TO EYE FOUNDATION HOSPITAL for any treatment. Read More

hi, my concern was why i was not informed about the side effects. the doctors in this hospital told me that worst case i will get dry eyes and no other side effects. if they had told me about 'Lasik induced Ectasia', i would not have taken this lasik treatment at all. and the post treatment suppor...t was pathetic. i travelled from bangalore to coimbatore to check with them what happened to me. dr.who did this treatment for me didnt explain me the problem in detail but simply said i have to get one more treatment and that too immediately. later on i came to bangalore and consulted 2 other eye hospitals. i want to mention here about shekar netralaya in bannerghatta road. they told me this cannot be cured at all and my retina may get damaged and may have to be replaced. i was totally shocked. then i went to narayana netralaya (next to ISKCON temple) and met Dr.Rohit Shetty. He explained me in detail about Ectasia and suggested me how we can proceed with this problem in a systematic way. I really got relieved and i am taking treatment now with Dr. Rohit Shetty. There are hospitals so good like this (Narayana Netralaya) and bad like Shekar Netralaya and Eye Foundation. In India, doctors dont explain the problem, solution and side effects to patients generally. only very few like Dr.Rohit Shetty follow this. Dangerous Treatment from batra

Sorry for what hap to ur mom. I totally agree with you on Batra's treatment. They dont give medicine on case by case basis. I had been there for hair treatment. They simply do a check up every month mechanically (no analysis or personal check up done), provide the same medicine and will a...sk you to come next month. They will repeat this for a year and then ask you to extend your medication for another 6 months or 1 year. They dont maintain case history too. Its like doctors simply follow a document (ask specific questions based on problem, explain treatment followed in Batra in general, ask u to enrol in batra, give the same medicine for every month ...) provided to them for treatments. And if it is hair treatment, they will take pics of ur scalp, but they wont maintain it properly. After 6 months, if u ask them for case history or pic to compare, they will simply blink and try to escape with some reply. Even I strongly suggest people not to go to Batra for any treatment.
