Well, I must say that I have faced this problem too. Occasionally. I have got out of the embarassing situation by starting on the 2nd gear. Without being harsh on maruti, I will tend to agree with you to a point.

Yes, underbody rusting is an issue. Please get an underbody painting done. Also be careful about rusting near door bottoms. frequent washing is not advised.
