Appreciated if you could have mentioned the model to make it more relevant to the thread. Looks you are talking about the 2nd gen Honda Jazz which is already out of market since about 2 years now. Thanks for your review anyways.

Navigation system is offered only on the top end VX trim. It looks rather aftermarket stuff rather than OEM. Moreover, people ain't finding it very user friendly to use or even update the maps (MapMyIndia). The only reason VX trim is selling is the magic seats which comes only in VX. Thanks.

+++ Looking at the VIN you have mentioned, the vehicle allocated to you was from the latest October lot of consignment that the dealer had got. I guess, owing to the festive season rush, your vehicle was reallocated to someone else in black. Thanks.

Thats really not good to hear. I would recommend you take it up with Honda at Honda One-to-One @ 1800-11-3121 (not toll free). Also please note that booking amount for Jazz 2015 was 21K as decided by Honda. Even I paid 21K while booking(100% refundable if you cancel your booking at a later stage) bu...t I heard some dealers in Bangalore charging 51K while booking, and now hearing a similar story from Mumbai as well. However, having owned two Honda cars so far, my experience with my dealer in Gurgaon has always been delightful, transparent and honest. During my purchase, I even requested my SA to allocate me a car fitted with Michelins or Brdgestones (if available) rather than MRFs which majority of the cars are coming fitted with and I got Bridgestones. Thanks.Read More

If I am correct, there is no cruise control in any of the variants of Jazz 2015 in India. Similarly, there are no automatic lights and automatic wipers offered on any of the trims. Thanks.

There are no reverse parking sensors in any of the trims but you get a nice reverse view camera in SV, V and VX trims. Steering wheel offers tilt adjustment (no telescopic movement). Driver armrest is available as a standard Honda accessory which can be fitted at a cost of INR 15.5 K (including fitt...ing) at one of the dealers in Gurgaon. The armrest is available only in black color with no beige option (confirmed by Honda), so except the VX trim which is an all black interior, this could be a mismatch with beige colored seats. Hi @sivakumar.damodaran, I understand your concern. The lower mileage could be due to your driving style. Driving CVTs needs a different technique than the MTs. Please keep a light foot and allow the transmission to convert the revvs into torque. If you are experiencing too much of rubber-band ef...fect, you are adding only to the wastage. The idea is to accelerate gradually. Similarly, lift your foot from the pedal on the sight of a signal/obstruction. Jazz, just as Honda City offers an excellent scooting. Especially in a stop and go city traffic, I strongly recommend you a lighter foot. Secondly, while stopping at the signals, please please please shift it to N or P rather than letting it at D. This will relax the transmission and assist in fuel economy while avoiding the unnecessary wear and tear of transmission. Hope this helps. Thanks.Read More

@kumaargupta: In the first fill of my new Jazz V MT i-VTEC, I got about 17.5 Kmpl all city driving, A/C on at all the times. On further filling the MID shows an improvement to 18.5 kmpl. Please note that my driving style is towards sedate. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Congrats @viswamnaveen on your new buy. V MT i-VTEC minus the magic seats is perhaps a better buy in terms of features, convenience and pricing than the top end VX trim. The Golden Brown color is a nice choice and its true shade and appreciation is only under the sun. Welcome to the Jazz club. I hop...e you miles of smiles with your new Honda Jazz. Thanks.Read More

Hi harshit8118_440, Not to offend you, but your below 2 observations are incorrect. > Driver seat adjustment is missing in V Model. > Mud flaps to be installed separately even in V and VX. Corrected: Driver seat height adjustment is very much available in V variant. Mud guards ...(fenderless type) need to be installed as a Honda offered accessory only in V variant. VX comes pre-installed. Going further down to SV, S and E trims, you have a choice of mud guards (fenderless or with fender) to choose from the Honda accessories. The cost of fenderless mud guards is about INR 1500 (set of 4). Thanks.Read More

@sukhjit_1980: 'Honda has betrayed indians with so many features missing. I have seen this vehicle ontoard abroad with almost same price tag.' Here, I partially agree with you. Yes, there is a difference in the features from country to country and trims offered in each of these countries. For i...nstance, Honda Jazz sold as Honda Fit in US and Canada comes in 3 trims LX, EX and EXL ranging from about US$ 16000 till US$21000 (INR 10,50,000 upwards). Moreover, features and pricing, even the dimensions is a subject customized to the local market needs, norms, trends and the product positioning that the company is targeting at. US models are more towards power delivery and high speed (1.5 L DOHC i-VTEC) to let you cruise at 70 mph/120kmph lane on an interstate freeway than fuel efficient focused Indian version (1.2L SOHC i-VTEC). US version offers a ground clearance of 127 mm vs. Singapore version at 135 mm vs. Indian version at 165 mm. If 1.3 L i-VTEC Singapore version is more feature rich, its also priced at S'pore $ 1,05000 (INR 48,00000). In my opinion, the Indian version gets the mix of all the good. Yes, I agree if Honda would have added some more features such as smart key, cruise control, speed sensing door locking in the VX trim while offering beige colored 'magic seats' in V trim in both MT and CVT or at least normal 60:40 split seats. This way they could have made it sell in volumes. Thanks.Read More

@sunnydivine: 'Thank you so much for your time for such an nice review, I want to know about maintenance can you please help me out with this it will be very useful thank you for your review again..' Thanks Sunnydivine for your words. Its been 14 days of ownership today, I am yet to go for the fi...rst service and also permanent license plate. So cannot comment on the maintenance costs. But based upon my past experience with my 2008 Honda City ZX (iDSI mill), the maintenance costs aren't too much in initial years but eventually go up in later services. Spares are expensive if you happen to have them replaced for any reasons (not that they go bad but for other reasons if you end up with a damage such as broken light or damage due to car incorrectly towed away by traffic police). The maximum service bill I have paid till date on any service is about 17K. Thanks.Read More

@haunierymbuii: 'Please post about handling, power delivery and mileage. Im planning to book one too. I have shortlisted the i20 but it lacks power and space. Polo= Very less mileage' I am planning to write a detailed ownership review in coming days. Between, to answer your queries, handing is co...nfidence inspiring, cornering feels stable and grounded, pickup is not too zippy but I do not feel any lag too. Steering is light, effortless at parking speeds and confidently hardens as you speed up. All ABC pedals are very effortless. ABS brakes is sharp and make you feel total control. Department of space, it is unbeatable in this segment, I feel so airy with a lot of light coming in. Plush beige interiors (Jazz V MT) add to the roomy feel. 354 L of boot space swallows my golf bag and other stuff as well. Overall ride quality is towards premium side. Thanks.Read More

@Pratikbhansali27: 'My new Honda jazz (august purchased) is giving me a mileage of 8.4 in petrol. And surprisiny the ac is not good. Ac gives a decent cooling only at full (4). The car is really good looking but am really worried if I have made the right decision.' Well, this is strange. Please h...ave it checked with your Honda authorized service. I have completed 2 weeks with my new Honda Jazz V MT and in first filling I got some 17.5 kmpl almost entire local run with A/C on at all the time. I am preparing to write a detailed ownership review soon. Thanks.Read More
