I have no idea about Bangalore Hi-Fi outlets. I took audition of Norge in Mahim (Mumbai), their manufacturing place. Somehow I have used this same speaker of Sonodyne sonus 2605 towers with NAD 50w per channel amplifier for many years. Now those are retired for me. You do not need very high powered ...amp to drive these speakers as speakers have good sensitivity of 89db. It is written in their manual that minimum 60w Rms per channel is required to drive these speakers. I have never tested these speakers with Norge as the surround foam of woofers is torn/damaged. U can check with Norge dealers listed below. Check if you find the tonal quality appealing in match to your speakers. INDIQAUDIO India LLP, Thanisandra Main Road, R.K. If your speakers are back ported keep a distance of 1 ft at least from back wall. Use good quality speaker cables (16 or 14 awg) full copper OFC and also decent/good quality interconnect cable's. sometimes it happens that a particular amplifier do not sound right with particular speakers because of ...tonal mismatch like speakers and amplifier both on bright side. If still it does not sound right. Take the amp to an audio shop and audition with different speakers.Read More

Totally agree. The concentration is on mids and treble. If paired with right speakers then the bass is adequate enough. My speakers have just 5 inch bass drivers but still I feel the bass is good enough. have tested Concerto Gold 1000 with many genre of music.

I Just wanted to write about my recent purchase and usage experience of Norge Concerto Gold 1000, an Indian made stereo integrated amplifier(92+ 92 w at 8 ohms). I am using this amp from past one week now. My previous experience with NAD and Cambridge Audio integrated amps had been good and sati...Read more

I find this same model (concerto gold 1000) pretty good. All tones are well presented. I am using Wharfedale evo 4.1 and Elac B5 bookshelf speakers. Even when I took audition at their Mumbai premises with Norge bookshelf speakers it was a good experience. I took my own cd's, also played some blu...etooth music through mobile via their blue tooth module. If you still own this amplifier try matching with right speakers using decent speaker cables.Read More

Thanks for writing this wonderful and informative review. I have purchased concerto gold 1000 after an audition session at their Mumbai premises. At my home I have paired it with Wharfedale Evo 4.1 ( 2 way bookshelf) mounted on sound foundation (nemesis) speaker stands. I also have a pair of ElacB5 ...(debut) that are additional, occasionally used speakers. I particularly like the open mids and treble presentation of this amplifier. On bass front it is not detailed but adequate enough. I was aware of this brand from my childhood days but never had the courage to take the risk. Ur writeup has helped me to take a positive stand for this purchase. Only two drawbacks as of now, no remote control, outer fit and finish is just average.Read More

Himanshu, On high speeds of 90 & above vibration is there. Moreover all RE bikes have some vibration, it is part and parcel of the bike. Pl do not compare it with the vibrations of lower 150 CC bikes. Generally the test vehicle of dealers are not in good shape so real assessment cannot be made ...from that. Try to ride any new RE of your friend for at least 10km's. The mileage is pretty good. 40-42/lt in city traffic but only if driven with ease and no hush bush,. On highway it touches 45km/litre. All in all it is good & powerful vehicle and the average is also good if power & performance is taken into consideration.Read More

New dealership (Brahma motors) in Pune from 11th Oct, 2012 onwards I was very well aware of the situation that the dealer (Dhone auto) is doing black on deliveries where customer wants it before time. i was left with no choice to book it from King's Automobiles, Baner. But when I spoke to the ASM... of RE he informed me that a new dealership is coming in Wakedwadi, so I spoke to the dealer and waited till his Showroom was operational. Booked the new model of TB 350 on 16th Oct. promised a 3 mnths waiting on this model. For other models like classic etc it was 4-6 months. i am not sure but only experience will tell whether this dealer is ethical or not. About Dhone automobiles it is very evident that there is something fishy as they claims the delivery period of 8-12 months whereas King automobiles and Brahma motors gives a much lesser waiting period.Read More

Dear Sowks, You have to decide what is more comfortable for you. The comments of people or your own feeling abt TB350. Do not get fooled by what others say. There is a phrase that ' Wear clothes which are more comfortable rather than the one which are just fashionable'. Same applies to most of th...e personal decisions. So decide by yourself. On personal front I feel all RE bikes are a class apart. Maybe the other people who commented on your bird are Envious of your possession.Read More

Dear Amrut, I have booked a thunderbird 350 (new model) on the first navratra (16th Oct). Most probably I will get delivery in Jan 2013. I will take advice from you if I go for additional accessories. I am based in Pune. You can check the new model at RE website.

I have stayed in Mumbai near the beach itself. Every metal object (Polished, coated)get rust even in non monsoon days and in monsoon days it is best to keep the bike covered or under shade. Getting the coating and anti rust treatment is a choice depending on where u stay in Mumbai (near the beach or... far). I am not sure for the Teflon coating on the paint but the chrome parts need to be guarded well.Read More

Nice review. Very helpful. Finally it's the admiration from others/unknown that makes guys feel proud and there is no bike in India that can beat the passion and loyalty of RE.
