Agreed that sometimes maybe govt jobs and research maybe be marred by politics etc but the probabilty of that happening is not 100% , i for one would prefer them anyday as the scope of work is far better and i am saying this from experience ,working as an Reasearch Assistant and it is definitely ...more satisfying. Also if one is motivated he can switch jobs if these things are hampering his growth but it is difficult to switch a career. Read More

Earlier, the price difference between a branded and an assembled PC was more than Rs 20,000. Today it is hardly 10,000. And then when value-added features like printer and Web camera come as as freebies. It works out to be almost the same. In the assembled PC market, where once sold-is-old axiom... held sway, older PCs might find takers in branded market. Home-users for whom the price is a decisive factor may compromise on quality, a corporate, business or educational establishment should never do so as some assembler's after delivering the product or products as the case may be, have vanished Also,While comparing prices the important things to be kept in mind are the facts that grey channels sell PCs which are naked without operating systems and don't go through the rigorous testing of the machine.Branded PC's come from QA/QC certified Plants; come with premium Internet connection, optical mouse, Genuine Windows version of operating system, joystick, Internet-ready keyboard, modem high-end graphics with TV-out facility and a host of software. If the value of all this is added and a direct comparison is made the value of Branded PCs is much more attractive. Assemblers just have customised machines and lower prices as trump cards whereas branded PCs have many aces up their sleeves — performance, warranty, after-sales services, reduced price and a lavish dose of freebies. hello mr anand ,who is misguiding whom? you think the hardware these assembler guys take is genuine. It is from something called the 'grey market'.Now The grey market is a semi-legal, unorganised unit of local assemblers and market operators who use smuggled or reused parts and accessories. With ...the branded guys atleast you are sure that parts they assemble (as u say ) are genuine with excise and taxes paid. < Please do not misguide people ,what do u mean by that? i am entitled to my point of view and the 'people' are smart enough to decide whats best for them. They can assess the advantages of branded PCs and make an informed buying decision. They are willing to pay a little extra for quality and technology.consumers are now not just looking at price as a purchase driver but are demanding quality, reliability and after-sales service and market statistics prove my point Assemblers' market share has come down.the Indian customer, whose purchase decision could be swayed by pennies is getting pound-wise now.except some like u ,anyways everyone is entitled to his point of view.Read More
