qwan.. Believe it or not, that was the first book my dad suggested when i moved over here. :)
Thanks Sir for understanding. Many claim America is bad. Yes it is bad in foreign policies but there is a lot that we can learn from the western countries especially the ways of implementing ideas and ...visions.

Very few dare to speak out or even want to discuss issues as sensitive as Psychiatry. I think at least as literate and balanced one needs to look up to counselling especially when one is depressed to an extent as to find no hope

qwan i am no authority on Ron Paul nor am i supporting Obama. I would care less for any politician here at the moment. What Obama will do only time will tell.. At the end of the day he is also a politician.
I only meant to share this speech which as a third person i was very impressed.
Ho...wever, Thanks Sir for all your inputs. I watch CNN and MSNBC regularly but at the same time i also watch the other side of the coin (Fox news). But still i refrain to form any opinion or support anyone as it hardly matters who i support here.

qwan interesting.. i know no president except for Bill Clinton writes his own speech. Obama however does lot of proof reading and adds his own masala.
Believe me, no one is perfect. but this guy at least rubs some confidence. the young blindly beleive him. What else does one need to look up to... if everything else is as gloomy as it seems.
As for Ron Paul, there are so many in Republican party itself like Huckabee, etc but no good clean person gets the leadership position. Unfortunately we have to accept whoever has reached there and find the good qualities in him/her.
this particlar speech that Obama gave i thot was outstadning. I followoed the last elections preety closely so i say that this speech was not run of the mill.
But thanks Sir for adding.
You may want to check the profile of another New Mexico governer. Bill Richardson. Excellent personality. In fact, when he was nothing , he went and was able to release POWs from Korea.
oh BTW, Gandhi’s policies are being priased by most westerners and south americans than Indians. Same as with the preachings of Budhdha. :)

i haven't read this book but have watched the TV series of Ghalib and Nawabjaan (Naseer and Neena resp.) when i was in school. When i came to know that Gulzaar saab spent about 10 years researching the life of Ghalib and eventually coming out with this book and that serial, few months back, i rented... the serial on Netflix again.
Simply superb.. Ghalib's philosophy is something that is interpreted by one and many in their own way, at times differently by the same person at different times of his life.
P.S. Only other thing i like about my years i spent in Delhi apart from the food and exploring North India is discussing and spending time with like minded souls who had interest in Ghazals and Sufism.
You are absolutely right.. what you wrote is billionth of a drop.. but
