It is not just in Tamil that mohanlal has done horrendous roles. He has done a lot of stupid movies in malayalam too, like vamanapuram bus route, hariharan pilla happy aanu and so on... Havent seen the movie, but this was one I had been looking forward to going to... From what I understand from your review, I gotta go with a add-on sequel mindset- they are never gonna be as good as the first one, but if it is at least half as good, it would be worth the money... Keep typing!

Guess this is the most controversial review i ever wrote. Sonu, I wouldnt say I didnt like the movie over all because I cant accept my culture. It was more because I have read so much of ramayan and felt the movie could have been made in a much much better way.

Appreciate your open comment, but I found a lot of room for improvement in the movie. I accept the fact that the movie is a bold venture, but the glitches in it made me feel I shouldnt watch any other indian animation movie, given the expectations i had. You are entitled to your opinion of liking or disliking my comment, I respect your opinion. I have not called hanuman an Ape, I have mentioned him as an Ape-god, by which i meant A God in the form of an ape. Well, I also worship Hanuman, and I wouldn't have got hurt with someone mentio...ning the same way. Nevertheless, I'm rephrasing the wordings in my review, so that It doesnt hurt anyone else...

Nowadays malayalam movies seem to be more focused on double meanings and vulgar comedy. I guess the only recent movie I would rate as a good comedy would be Meesha Madhavan. Yeah, and one omission in your list I noted was Godfather [Hulchul in hindi]... Priyadarshan seems to be making lots, picking ...the best of mallu movies and releasing them in Bollywood...
