Please report this at: http://customercare.tatamotors.com/complaint.aspx first . I had a bad experience with a trissur tata dealership for a routine service(paid one, broke reverse horn, oil leak from engine after service, hit a post inside the workshop while the service guy took it for service) and... I had registered in this portal. Tata followed up with the dealership and the manager was pleading with me to drop the compaint. I work out of state now, so I gave up as I do not have time for this. But, I can tell u that there will be action.Read More

Am myself is an owner of 2006 dec indica, and so far it did not have even one break down, and so far a slight adjustment of thermostat is all that is needed. I have clocked 30,000 kms till date on it.
I believe, we need to service indica every 5000 kms and if ...we fail on this, the condition of the car may begin to drop. I do a water service also around 2500 kms, to reduce the rusting.
My father is also using an indica for 6+ years now and he recommended it for me too. I have one uncle,who is using the first launched version for 9+ years, and he still manage to drive around without much issues.
So, I feel that, once you do the engine overhauling, you should be okay to use to for quite number of years.

Hi Coolhead!
I really likes to buy a cruiser and Avenger 200 and Suzuki 150r was my choices(the latter because of suzuki engine and 6th gear, hoping to do some cruising)..
But, because of your review I feel I am one step closer to Avenger now :)
