Firstly, I live on the outskirts of Toronto, Canada. I got to know about the Henry Ford Museum at Dearborn, Michigan from my colleague while on a drive back from Ottawa. After a bit of research, we chose a weekday to visit, primarily to ensure that we get to see the Rouge Factory. Buying tickets...Read more

Firstly, you don't actually need a consultant to do the paperwork- if you can read English, its pretty straightforward- just ensure that you don't tell any lies in your application! The job situation isn't that bad as everyone makes out to be. Ontario actually added almost 30,000 jobs last quarter. ...I seems that you are a student- yes once you get your PR, you can get a student loan- also called OSAP in Ontario. You do need to have filled out one IT return to into the system, which tells the lending agency your monetary status. As a landed immigrant having PR status, you pay almost one third of the tuition fees as do the international students. Mail me at sandeepatwal at gmail dot com if you need more details. Canada My India

Feb 18, 2008 04:45 AM

Welcome... I dont know much about Vancouver except that it rains a lot, but I can quite relate with your experiences with the community as a whole. Well you cant blame the Punjabis who are there- most of them are uneducated, but hard working. There have been success stories too- Isnt the premier of ...BC a Punjabi??? I live in Toronto, moving from Delhi three years ago- I cant say I love the winters, but have learned to adapt well, inspite of the onslaught of the winter storms this year. It sure is a sign that summer is that much closer- a whole 6 months of it! The good doctor needs to be made aware that Canada is a multicultural country with equal job opportunities and a lot of immigrants. In fact the country is wholly made up of immigrants. I have a great job- and so does the rest of my family. We love this country and would encourage others to come and have a look too. And Nidhi- if you want samosas...comr to Toronto- we get 4 for a dollar..Cheers, SandeepRead More

I liked reading your experiences with Mouthshut- somewhat akin to mine in the initial stages. I have cooled off though, but do visit it occassionally to 'keep in touch'. Keep writing, Regards, Sandeep.

of my favourite ride of yore. Yamdoot, as it was affectionately called by my friends who envied my steed was my first love. I had the pleasure to drive it for almost 17 years before I had to finally let it go when I moved out of the country. She went to almost all parts of the country- she really wa...s at her best in the hills. True that she wasnt great on fuel, but the real thrill of the power- something worth spending for. I did run into some problem for minor spares towards the end, but not that couldnt be located with a bit of perseverence. Great revu, keep writing, Regards, Sandeep.Read More

I was wondering if you did not go and see the coral reef on purpose or did not know about it? Its the most awesome experience seeing the coral and the tropical fish through the glass bottomed boat and the snorkling is highly recommended. The review really brought back fond memories...Thanks and keep... inking, Cheers, Sandeep.Read More

Bercos has a branch at NOIDA- Bercos Garden. It also has a guy singing in the evenings and of course the food is great. Bercos actually belongs to a chain which have other restaurants too. Some real good pointers and help for the persons who have difficulties on facing a crowd. It also is applicable to almost everyone- not many of us are born speakers- the amount of preparation required does ease off with experience but the knowledge of the subject has to be 200%. I have found that us...ing small cards with pointers- just the salient points held in the palm of the hand does give a lot of confidence- even though you may not need to refer to them. The whole speech has to be rehearsed- written out in long hand first and gone over- it may be reduced to points thereafter once it is refined. The points as such much flow and like a road map, should keep the listener engaged and lead him/her to a logical conclusion and summarise the topic. Eye contact is paramount and so is the audience coverage. Keeping control of your hands and facial expressions also need to be looked after. Keep inking, Cheers, SandeepRead More

A great review- I am afraid I dont stay in India anymore to have seen the interview, but do follow the news. The education system being so marks-centric forces the students to seek admission in whatever institutions thay can afford, unless they score some crazy high marks. Even the so called cream i...nstitutions have their degraded their standards - I hear that the IIM has asked Laloo to address them - some management funda of having turned the Railways around. Wonder what will happen next- Pappu Yadav to lecture at the IPS Academy on the latest killing techniques? Heaven forbid. It is for the general population to see out the sane for themselves and survive. Great thoughts, keep inking, Cheers, SandeepRead More

I endorse your opinions- the AF ground staff are extremely rude- they behave as if they are doing you a favour by letting you fly with them. On the contrary- I have had pleasant experiences with the flight attendants and stewards. CDG is the pits- yes, there are no chairs to sit at all- and most of ...the restaurants are closed at the unearthly hours that our flights connect through. One needs to be properly briefed if one is connecting. You have a nice style- keep inking- Sandeep.Read More

Sheetal, Welcome to MS- I like your style- you really made me long to go back to one of my favourite places. Though I dont live in India amymore, I have very pleasant memories of Rajasthan and its only hill station. I am surely making a trip back soon! Abu has its share of the hard core drinkers fro...m Gujrat who descend on this place every weekend- booze being banned in the state! Good for the economy-decent people though. You may wish to explore other places- you may like to read some of my reviews too- Take care and continue inking, Cheers, Sandeep.Read More

While I did rate the revu VU, I am sorry to say that you didnt cover much of the beach as such- the whole revu seemed to be a travelogue. Interesting all the same. I wish you could have mentioned that Colva is the only beach in Goa that has white sands. The trip by the boats into the sea- the offer...s to see the dolpins- the parasailing- the seadoo rides- the sand sculptures- the cleanliness- the ban on plastic bottles-I could go on and on. Man, if you cant control your booze, you have no business indulging in the pleasures of the sprit. Royal Stag isnt cheap by any standards, from what I remember when I last imbibed it. There are far more cheaper and potent drinks available, and I dont think you can blame the drink for your condition.... If you misbehaved with some people, its your doing- have a hold of your life and seek friends who get you out of the habit- and quick, before you mess up further. Cheers, SandeepRead More
