surely R15 is not the best bike in India...
R1 is there, MT01 is there, Ducati opened up a new shop in Delhi... come on...
R15 is a tiny (but good) bike with only 17ps power....

How come an extra spark/plug (a plain simple extra spark!!) destroy engine and cause over heat ?? an extra plug helps to ignite fuel-fume at VERY high rpms BUT at low Rpms, the spark is just a waste, but its not enough wear out engine !! an extra spark dose not cause ANY extra heat/pressure. pulsar ...may not long last but thats probably due its low quality engine components... not DTSi technology.

i kind of feel sorry for karizma riders...
before leaving the country (now i live in Australia) i also use to admire p220, karizma...bullet etc.
Now i own 4 bikes,
Suzuki Bandit 1250 ABS
Yamaha R1
Yamaha RD350 (classic)
Aprilia ...
AND NOW I TRULY UNDERSTAND HOW LOW indian bikes score c...ompared to these....
i kind of feel sorry for all the karizma/p220 owners... all of them are trying to feel like Eagle on tiny Mosquitoes.Read More

1. No way to fit kick starter. Fit a new battery asap. dont be a joker. ppl will laugh-talk about the whole pushing episode
another possible reason for dieng battery may be: error in electrical connections. battery may be draining it self due to a electric shor-circut. take the bike to an expe...rt mechanic who understands electrical circuits well. Rain water insid the circuite can also cause the frequient draining.
2. sounds funny but be careful... thats all i can say
3. reason for this is: your clutch free-play is too much. reduce clutch free play. this will harden the clutch some what.
4. a. reason: 3 ----- b. change engine oil, Dont forget to flush the engine with petrol before putting fresh engine oil.
in the end, if u really want quality, u need to go for costlier bikes (say: Honda Rebel).
Bajaj is ultimately a poor co. for poor ppl.

Dear Sir,
In my Libero G5: after the 1st servicing and
carburetor-tuning by YAMAHA service center;
1. In the morning, I need full choke to start and run
the engine for first km and 50% choke (when the
choke-lever is in mid-way) for next 2 km.
Unfortunately I reach my university by then !!... I go
the whole way with choke partially ON and probably
burn more fuel than a performance tuned bike. I have
done only 400 km (from 0 ) and the fuel gage is
showing that the tank is near empty….from full !! I
understand it’s a unique problem….Is the tuning OK ?
what should I do ?
2. the YAMAHA manual clearly states “ Always run the
bike with the starter lever (choke) in OFF position
.”….. what should I do ? Instead of increased fuel
consumption; will running the bike with choke ON do
any other harm to the engine ? Will it over flow
engine oil to spark plug ? or is it just a
misconception.
3. What is low-end torque ? how is the low end torque
in G5 …. Good..ok…or bad ?
4. it I use octane instead of petrol, will it cause any harm ( instead of excess spending )
5. HH CD DAWN vs Libero G5, which is better and
reasons for selecting it as better one.
Thank you for your time,

Hello, afzal bhai. I need you help.
I bought a Yamaha Libero G5 no 14/2/08. (Brand new)
One thing I am willing to ask,
IF I start the bike in cold weather (18-22 c) it needs choke lever to be in ON position. That’s ok, BUT,
After a few minutes of raving the engine and 5-10 minutes ...of ride (with choke lever On), if I turn the choke liver to OFF position, the engine tends to TURN OFF if I increase the accelerator!!
After riding for more than 15 minutes, the engine gets normal and responds normally with the Choke liver in OFF position.
Now, is it normal for Yamaha Libero?
Aren’t few minutes of mild raving and 5 minutes of riding (with choke on) not enough to turn the CHOKE Lever to off position? ( as far as i knew, choke lever was there only to start the engine.... however, the case is very different here)
Please Help. Is there anything I can do?
