I too have this problem in my Trigger. Faced it three times till now. The engine looses its compression and will not get start with either kick or self starter. The only way out is to push the bike forward in gear and start using engine braking by releasing clutch suddenly. It comes when I do hard a...cceleration in a single gear revving the engine higher. It occurs because valves get stuck due to carbon deposits in it. I only use normal Indian Oil petrol. I dont know how it happened to my 1 year old CB Trigger.Read More

Dear shashankapoornach, Happy to know that u are satisfied with ur Trigger. But I had written this review on my CB Trigger and not on urs. It lacks initial pick up (except in first gear which is good). In all other gears it lacks sudden pick up from slower speeds. I need to down the gears always for... doing a sudden overtaking. But after 60kmph, its performance is good and I had topped 110kmph easily. I have completed 13000 kms now and vibrations had reduced. But its still there. I still need to use the choke if the bike is not used for 2 days. Every morning I need to warm up the engine for 1-2 minutes before riding to get good performance. Then there is rattling sound from front visor and tail piece once the bike crosses 60kmph and when ridden in bad roads. I had driven Yamaha's FZ and Fazer and was just amazed by its excellent build quality, initial pick up & gearbox quality. My cousin's 53000 kms done Fazer does not make even a mild rattling sound when driven over bad roads. Gearshifting quality has improved with use, but still its not upto the mark. I find neutral so often when shifting from 2nd gear to 1st gear and is causing me lot of head ache in traffic. Still there is also a tendancy of gears getting locked up so often under sudden downshifts during braking. We need to give more time in between each downshifts and should plan in advance, which is not possible always. Regarding paint quality, you can view the picture of my 3 weeks old Trigger posted here. You could find that it has lost its shining. Also after 2nd, 3rd and 4th service the bike has lost paint from rear swing arm and Triple clamp bolts. Rust has also creaped on several parts. I had said that Quality & Performance of Honda is low by comparing it with its Japanese counterparts Yamaha and Suzuki, which is now bringing up better quality products, to which you may not agree. But its ok. I had told my views, to which most other user would agree. :)Read More

I was using a Yamaha Crux for the last 8 years and completed 72k kms in it. What a nice bike it was.....smooth engine and gearbox, excellent initial pick up ( u can ride up in second gear from stand still even with a pillion rider), top speed of 100kmph, good quality parts and paint job.....never ga...ve me mileage less than 57kmpl even when used rashly....the engine runs smoothly even in coldest of the midnights....and finally least maintenance required.....does oil change only once in 3 months by myself..... I have upgraded to Honda CB Trigger only because I wanted more stylish bike.....I thought Honda too makes good quality two wheelers and thus went for it. Now I highly regret my decision. The 150cc engine of Honda doesnot even have the initial pick up of a 106cc Yamaha engine. Miserable. If speed goes below 10kmph, I can only ride my bike in 1st gear. Try riding in 2nd gear in slow pace, the engine stalls....while in Crux I used to put 1st gear only when the bike stops completely....Riding my Crux was truly a pleasure, while riding Trigger is a nightmare.....Read More

Hai, I have bought a Honda CB Trigger DLX(dual disc option) on 29th August 2014. Earlier I have decided to write a review on this bike in Mouthshut only after completing 4000kms. But now I have decided against it just to inform people who are looking to buy this bike about its cons so that they ...Read more

Place the air screw in between 2 1/4 turns and 2 1/2 turns outwards. This is the factory air screw settings for Yamaha Crux. This setting will give u excellent mileage without having to compromise much on pick up. Me an user of Yamaha Crux for 8 years and covered 72k kms. I had been constantly getti...ng 60-65 kmpl mileage for my Crux with these setttings and had good pick up and no starting trouble.Read More

@agarwal_ankit Yamaha SS125 comes with a modified YBX engine, which is the best 4 stroke engine in India in terms of engine life. Honda Twister's engine is not yet proven to be a long lasting one. SS125 is more comfortable to ride easy to control than the Twister which has skinny tyres, small re...ar brake drum and rear hand rail is absent. SS125 gives a mileage of 55-60kms per litre while twister will give 65-70kms per litre, but SS125 will give u better performance. Twister will provide u more low end torque because of short gear ratios. However this can cause difficulty in high speed driving. SS125 has got correct gear ratios designed to give enough low end pick up as well as high speed, thanks to its five gears, its almost 10kmph faster than twister. In city riding, its better that u forget abt the fifth gear and use only four gears, so as to reduce the no. of gear changes. Use the fifth gear when u get an opportunity to go freely in 50+ speeds. this will make the bike more comfortable to use. I think SS 125 is the bike for u if 50-60kmpl mileage is acceptable for u.Read More

I have been using this phone from October 2009. Best in class display and camera quality and very low radiation. Good music quality. CBF stunner has already got 5 gears. Do u need one more for this 125cc 11bhp bike? lolz.......... U cant just go on increasing the number of gears. It depends on the amount of torque produced by the engine. A 125cc engine will produce only less torque. If u increase the number of gears for a bi...ke producing less torque, then u need to change the gears continously which will make riding tiresome.Read More

Yeah, u r right. Even my Yamaha Crux had the same problem with tuning and starting, when it was new. It was tuned at airscrew turned 2.5turns outwards. At that time, I was getting a mileage of 75-80kmpl. But the engine was not smooth and pick up was low. Aftrwards i myself changed the settings to 1....65 turns turned outwards. Now my bike is giving a mileage of 58-60kmpl. Engine is really smooth now. And I am satisfied with its performance and its pick up.Read More

This reveiw has not been written by a person who used or uses a Crux or any other Yamaha bike, but a person who hates Yamaha bikes. So people dont believe this review. Your review was nice and informative although u didnt say anything about ur apache. I have a small doubt. When we are braking without applying clutch and then suddenly the rear wheel skids, then a harsh sound is coming from the engine. This occurs sometimes even while using both brakes simultaneousl...y. This will definitely damage the engine and crank shaft. How can we avoid this?Read More

There is a saying that little or incomplete knowledge will do harm rather than good. This is same with bajaj. From kawasaki they had studied the ABC of bike manufacturing. Soon after that they ended the venture with kawasaki and started making bikes their own. They had copied designs & features of m...any sports bikes and combined them in their bikes. But they forgot the fact that quality can never be copied. So people beware of such cheater bikes. Always select the best ones by doing your own research.Read More

Ride a Crux and Heat back to back. You will find that Crux has got better pick up than Heat. Both has got the similar topspeeds around 95kmph. Regarding mileage, Crux will give 75kmpl mileage if ridden at 50-55kmph and 70kmpl if ridden above 60kmph speed. Showroom price of Crux is 31,500 while that ...of Heat is 35,500. In styling and comfort Crux is definitely better than Heat. Now choose which is better buy. Crux or Heat.Read More
