And on top of all this, we think that by getting the Home Minister to quit, we've made amends of sorts... A nation that is filled with the 'its not me this time' kind of citizenry cannot expect any better... Why hasn't there been a single attack on the US post 9/11? Or UK for that matter? Israel ...has some of the strictest and most stringent security laws in the world..and we get mad when frisked at a Mall or the Airport. We dont want to compromise on our 'freedom' little realising that we already have, by choosing nincompoops one election after another. This time let us vow to vote for the man who does not belong to a party that reeks of corruption and vileness. Lets make a vow to vote only for the best man..or not vote at all. Lets the billions of rupees spent on the elections go down the bloody drain if we dont have a decent person to choose...And most of all, let us get over our complacent attitude and start demanding that the babus, and the politicians are public 'servants' and they'd better serve us or bear the brunt. Let us as citizens of a nation that, despite its flaws, deserves to be saved, a nation that some where still makes us proud to be Indians ....start a movement that will make it a modern nation....worthy of our trust, admiration and patriotism. Hi Mr Vinod and Mr Munir, Maybe the review was not good afterall. The book does not dwell entirely on the horror of the ailment and its aftermath, although that is a very crucial aspect. The book is about the man and the words of wisdom he imparts, which as I wrote in my concluding paragraph,... are ideals we ought to live by, except that we lose them in the rush of living our lives. Moreover, I have witnessed two close people in my life who had not ALS, but Muscular Dystrophy, which is similiar in many ways to ALS as it is debilitating, without a cure and kills the human, one day at a time. I suppose thats also the reason I found this book so endearing. It touched a deep part of me, since I have watched my friends endure a life - watching parts of their body shut down one after another. I related to it in more ways than one. I agree there is too much pain in this world already and we don't need to read more about it! But certainly I believe that a perspective from such individuals can change your life....for the better. RituRead More

Hi Asyis. I totally respect ur view and thank u for the rating. The idea behind the review was merely to indicate that trash and sensationalism is freely available. Such papers are called tabloids. And there must be something to make our National Dailies more responsible and accountable. Even a g...ood parent cannot stop their kids from getting attracted to freely available and trashy entertainment. That is why we have censorship in our country. I am a parent and I know for sure, that if our daily morning dose of news events continues to be cheap, gimmicky and gossipy, we might as well forget about instilling any 'values' in our kids. I totally and absolutely endorse your review. ICICI Bank is worse than a grameen sarkari Bank. The service, the Customer help lines, the staff, the ATM's...all downright PATHETIC. I have faced numerous probs with the Bank. I certainly DO NOT recommend this Bank to anyone!!!!!!!

I have been banking with ICICI since 1999 and their services differ from branch to branch and city to city. Within Delhi where I reside, there is a marked diff in the services of diff branches. The branch I hold my account with is worse than some 'sarkari' banks. Inside its like a fish market all th...e time, noisy...with some of the staff members talking to eachother across the halls...adding to the din. The new cheque books take over two weeks to be delivered and if thats not all, I find discrepencies in my cash balances almost routinely. You are a lucky bloke for having a good branch to bank with.
