Plagiarism at its worst

Plot:

Performance:

Music:

Cinematography:

The movie is a scene-by-scene remake of a 2003 South Korean masterpiece called OLDBOY. Keeping in mind the sensibilities of Indian audiences, the director changed just one thing - albeit the most important element in the thriller- revenge from John Abraham. I don’t want to give out too much but it is a shame that there is no copyright or protection to intellectual property. It is lawsuit waiting to happen if the foreign studio finds out about this shameful act of plagiarism.

Anyone who is a connoisseur of good cinema will be disgusted by this attempt. Sanjay Gupta probably hired a translator instead of a screenplay writer. Every single dialogue in the movie is a Hindi translation. Anyone interested in the original masterpiece can view the link below.

Condoning this blatant disregard of international copyright rules and appealing to our filmmakers to make originals like rang De Basanti , Swades, Lagaan etc……. is the only way to go.
