I bought a leather sofa(3 plus 1 plus 1) & six seater dining table @ woodpecker royapettah. About the Product: SOFA: To my surprise, the leather started coming out and visible white and black patches made it unfit for use. When informed the service centre, they sent a sofa contractor(outsourced person) after 16 days and he suggested to change the leather to cloth and it will cost Rs.27,000. I was dumbstruck as he was demanding 50% of the purchase cost for service and that too in one year. Then I went to the showroom where I bought the sofa as they were the one who gave wrong commitments like genuine leather and sofa which can be used for lifetime. Even there, I left disappointed as the mAnasultanger said that he will call me the next day, but I didnt receive any call until now.
ABOUT THE DINING TABLE: There was a crack in the table in 6 months time. In this case, service person came and attended within 2 days. When asked why such crack in just 6 months, his answer was: Cracks are common in wood products. Looked like As if I was not aware about wood products and as if I am purchasing furnitures for the first time.
Very disappointed and I seriously doubt the quality of products sold by them. Looks like they are focussing only on selling and they care a damn when it comes to service. Give it a thought before you enter Woodpecker.
