By seeing a brand name I have lost 40000 INR, From Dubai I have called woodpecker and my parents went to chennai showroom and selected a model and came. The manager said it will take 10 - 15 working days for them to manufacture and deliver from their ECR factory. Then we paid at one shot and my parents came home.
All of sudden I got a call from my parents the next day it got delivered. Wow what a quick delivery we thought and checked. They said they got one in their factory readily available. a year after I came back for vacation and sitting in my dreamt sofa which was sagged like bow. Due to medical issues my parents were not concentrating on that and haven't called them. sagging happened from the second month of purchase. Quickly I have called them and arranged. But as per policy within 48 hours a persom should come. They came after 10 days. He gave a report it is a physical damage and now they are saying it will be 11000 rupees to rectify as they need to add foam on that.
then where is the 7 year warranty I asked. They replied that is only for wood. apart from all only 1 year. oooshhhhh!
Then I have enquired in the showroom. One good working staff informed my parent, Mam I remember you and please dont tell anyone. you have been delivered the DEMO sofa which was here for more than 6 months. after 1000 people tried and kids played on that sofa it will sag within 3 months for sure.
Then I called the customer care no use. Mr. Rajeev from woodpecker service manager repeatedly saying that this is our norms and I can't help much.
So this is the voice of a consumer who has been cheated by woodpecker in open light by giving a demo old piece for a brand new cost and cheating again by charging again 11000 for the old shitty sofa.
Never ever select woodpecker. I beg all not to purchase this kind heartless cheaters. Am from chennai a local guy couldnot chase and win on these guys. Please be alarmed. Thank you. there are numerous shops in chennai. Pl dont go to this shop. am writing this 21.01.2017.
