About a month ago I was walking from my car to buy a cup of coffee and realized that my feet felt very heavy and warm. I looked down and gasped, **'Oh my God! I am still wearing my suede winter boots!'*
I bought my coffee and went next door to the Pay Less shoe store! As luck would have it, they were running a *buy one get the second pair half off* sale! Whooo hooo! And then I proceeded to shop till I dropped.
Since it was all ready May, I decided to buy new walking shoes, sandals and jogging shoes. **Stores that only sell shoes offers an immense quantity and variety of styles** to choose from.
The **best time to buy shoes is late afternoon**. By then your feet are warm and'swollen' **affording you a truer fit**. Buying shoes early in the morning before doing hundreds of walking steps or running, the chances of your feet hurting later in the day **after you've worn the new shoes for a few hours** is much greater!
The day I shopped, I had met the criteria for shoe shopping; I was even wearing socks! How often do you wear sneakers, jogging or walking shoes without socks? For a much better and accurate fit, **always try on athletic footwear wearing socks**!
I do not recommend only buying brand name shoes or athletic footwear! In fact, those suede boots I mentioned earlier were still as comfortable as the day I bought them 3 years early. The cost:$20!
When I **purchase boots**, I always buy them **a half size larger** to accomodate wearing two or more pairs of winter socks.
Happy shoe shopping!
