Docomo was one of the most brilliant operators in the past but it's popularity and performance degraded at the same rate it came up with. Docomo previously offered very good plans and services but with time they started charging more and this led to a downfall in their popularity. Docomo was considered one of the cheapest and best network operators but now they are no more the cheapest nor the best. They have overpriced plans and a relatively poor customer service.
I am an old customer of tata docomo and I always liked it until I realised that they have a very poor network availability. The network is so poor that it loses connectivity in midst of non-remote and well-developed areas. It often loses network on normal rainy days which is very annoying. Docomo was a good option earlier but not anymore, instead go for other operators with better network support.
