I am fresh from my maiden experience at Bangalore's Mast Kalandar. I was about to write about it here when I was shocked to see a plethora of negative reports about the place. Well, I have had a truly great experience at two of their joints, one at Old Airport Road and another at Arekere, on two consecutive days. Both times the taste was superb, the service was prompt and came with plenty of smiles, and the experience was very, very pleasant.
I ordered their HP2 for Rs.89/-. Now, pay attention: this consists of 3 phulkas, one cup of dal, two cups of vegetables and one cup of thick, sweet lassi. That's enough to fill you out for one session of the day. I also partook of their gol gappas in the evening and those were pretty good too, just that I found inconvenient those tall canisters in which they serve the masala juices. Anyway, a good experience. And, sure, I am going there again. And, sure, I will be keeping an eagle eye peeled for those negative things written by other posters!
